That depends on what you call scheduling. Are you saying you know what day you will be doing specific shops? Heck I don't even have that done for my route week after next. Are you saying you have some work that you're gonna do sometime in mid march? Yeah. I have work I'm gonna do in mid May.

Yeah dates with shops attached.
In that case I am not scheduled at all. I rarely have that more than a day in advance.

I have four assignments scheduled for March from a MSC that allocates work rather than puts it on a job board but most of my work is usually scheduled no more than 10 days in advance.
I suppose I use the term scheduled differently than most. I have a route starting next Sunday that as 22 shops "scheduled." Meaning on this route I will do 22 shops. 2 of them are hotels so I suppose those are what other people would call "scheduled." I consider the whole thing scheduled as I have them assigned to me on the job boards. Do I know what day I will do which shops? Well no. I will drive over, do my first hotel shop, and that night I will figure out which shops I'm doing the following day. When I check into a hotel the following night I'll do the same for the next day. On and on until I am done with all of the shops and then I will come home.

Is that scheduled? Is it not scheduled?

I'm scheduled out at the farthest for April 1st. I have a bunch throughout march. Many of them are flexible dates (almost all) and have the option to reschedule. The major con would be if you pick up time sensitive dates. I usually plan me a route and then I get on the boards a day or two before and even day of to see if I can snag a little something extra in the areas I am going. If I know I have 2 $20 shop scheduled in City A and one more in city B with a three hour gap, I can see what's on the boards or use the map to see what restaurants are nearby with free wi-fi for reporting grinning smiley

Sometimes, I have shops scheduled 3-4 months out. Most of my shops are scheduled for same week, often same day.
Unless it is big money shops I would not schedule anything with a set date more than a month in advance. That is just me personally. I do have a few scheduled for March with set date as well as some that I have scheduled with a flexibility to do within a certain time range example march 1st to 15th or anytime in march. Now that the weather is starting to get nicer I can schedule further out again and fill in as the date gets closer with other shops. If i need filler I can look a few days before right up to that date. I like my flexibility to work or not work which is why I don't believe in scheduling lower paying shops months in advance.

All that said I know someone will come on her and say I'm booked through July.

Shopping Western NY, Northeast and Central PA, and parts of Ohio and West Virginia. Have car will travel anywhere if the monies right.
This has been a bad month for me - I haven't even been able to find enough shops to schedule out any further than 2 days - lol
Anytime I can, I will schedule out as far as a month. I love knowing that I have shops booked and scheduled for the next few weeks because as other opportunities pop up each day I can start creating routes by seeing where I have already scheduled shops and scheduling new shops in the same area on the same day.
It makes it easier to schedule more shops in the same day that are all in the same neighborhood.
This goes out to everyone including Shari65gem. If you are not able to find enough shops sign up with more MSCS. There is an extensive list on this forum with a link at the bottom of every page. If your signed up with 100 sign up with more, 200 sign up with more, 300 and not enough work (I find it hard to believe) sign up with more. Also look at other shops you normally pass over. Sometimes you just got to try a new shop or do one thats harder when times are tough.

I started scheduling into May as of last week. March is completely booked; in fact, overbooked. April is filling up quickly.
But have you assigned actual days to actual shops? That's what apparently is being discussed here.

I have scheduled a few designated shop days between now and the middle of March. If other projects become available, I could consider them.

I used to schedule further out, but this year so far I am trying to wait for the bonuses. So far I've done just as many shops compared to last year and my average pay has increased.

I have assigned actual days to actual shops. I have assigned actual nights to actual shops. I have assigned actual shops to actual days. I have assigned actual shops to actual nights. I have assigned actual shops to actual weeks. I have assigned actual shops to actual six weeks.
Ha! I cannot work like that. My route starting next Sunday I will be adding shops all the way up until late this week. I need the flexibility. If I have a full load on Monday and a full load on Tuesday and someone offers me a shop that logistically should be the first on Monday, then I either have to decline it or backtrack on Wednesday.

I only do shops that I can do when I get to them. I do very few shops that have to be done at a particular day or time.

Of course you work differently than I do. I have a FT job besides this extracurricular stuff. You do video; I don't. I do have flexibility and I have an excellent repoire with my schedulers and project managers. When I need to change a scheduled date, it is usually for an earlier date because I have other jobs in the area. My schedulers are pleased to have shops performed earlier than later.

I work many special projects which give me a lot of flexibility. The project managers don't care if I do all the jobs in one day or spread them out over a 6-week period as long as the entire project is completed by the due date. I almost never work on my 3-day weekends, this weekend is 4 days. Yeah!
Right. I was just pointing out that "scheduled" means different things to different people.

You answer the questions your way and I will answers the questions my way. No need to drag this through the snow.
I have one day early in March set up with 3 jobs. Going to eat delicious food and get some perfume and make $30 for an easy shop. Trying to setup another weekend for lunch and retail perks with my baby girls.
^^^^^^^MMMM is amazing!!! I have 2 hotels scheduled in April and 1 in August. The reservations are made but I'm still.checking for the lowest airfare.
