Penn Station age range

Just got an e mail from the company that does Penn Station shops, advising me PS has now changed their range of shoppers to a maximum of age 50 and min of age 20. Seems that is age discrimination? Well I guess I no longer shop there or eat there without a shop if I'm too old to do MS for them, age 65

Nope, not age discrimination. Since they are not hiring you as an employee, age discrimination laws do not apply. You may not like it, but the client - Penn Station - does have the right to specify what their "target" customer group is.
That's frustrating. I used to put together some nice routes of compliance shops for the 18-25 age range, and it really broke my heart when I aged out of them. Oh well. Just shop elsewhere.
Same for Eddie Bauer shops - max age 65. Guess my senior dollars or buying power aren't good enough. While I might understand certain age targets for a period of time, to exclude certain ages all the time doesn't give a true picture, does it? I will shop elsewhere. And find another sub shop.

You're buying power is the same. You can go as a customer anytime you want. They don't want to pay YOU for you're shopping services.
I've been riding trains out of there to long island since I was like 6 years old! The smell of stale piss and muttering of vagrants is fun for the whole family.
Is the client Penn Stations shops or is that just a geographic description of where the shops are located? If the latter, might you share the MSC either directly or in a PM?

Exactly. Normally this is done because the client has done enough market research to know what their target market is. It's not that they don't want you as a customer, it's that your feedback isn't worth as much to them.

Rousseau, you have been a member long enough to know you are asking members to violate the guidelines of the forum and their ICAs.

Equal rights for others does not mean fewer rights for you. It's not pie.

Why would that be a violation? He asked if it was a client (Penn Station subs) or a location (Pennsylvania Station). Then asked if it was a location if someone could PM him.

So you don't consider asking someone to share the MSC openly or via PM to be a violation?

No. People ask who has shops at certain airports all the time. As long as the shops are for the franchisor or master licensee and not the actual airport it's not considered a violation.

Now if he had said if it's the former, then yes, it would definitely be a violation.

Okay. I saw some asides about the train station, but thought the actual shops were for the sub client. The idea was reinforced by the new age limit because it seems odd there would be an age limit if a variety of vendors were being shopped in a train station.

I think the shops are as well. But that's not what he asked for.
