Stuff MSC's say incorrectly...

"You received an email yesterday in error regarding a XXXX program currently in progress. This email was only intended for shoppers currently engaged in this program." Yes . . .

Flash, I was just about to post that one.

I also liked the line "It is vital that you do not attempt to contact XXX or YYY regarding these emails, or shops described therein."

I'm guessing these are the principle contacts for the client.
Yes, I was just not gonna go THERE. :^) And of course it wasn't just shoppers scheduled for jobs with them that got the note. I have no shops scheduled, have never even seen the client and at this point have no payments outstanding. Somebody REALLY hit the wrong button.
Not exactly a blooper, but a question I had to answer for a recent hair cut shop that I rated overall very highly was, "What was the most disappointing part of your visit?" I tried, "Nothing was disappointing," but it was rejected because my response was not long enough.
Luckily it is usually the form that rejects such an answer, so they get something like "Nothing was disappointing. The cut was the length I requested and done quickly." If that still is not enough they will get another sentence thrown in to make the character requirement while basically saying nothing that has not been reported elsewhere.
How about, "The most disappointing thing about the assignment was this portion of the report and the silly requirement to make up something disappointing when nothing was, in fact, disappointing?"

Speaking of silly questions in reports, I suspect that my flippant answers are wearing thin with Market Force. For the ridiculous question about what caused the delay in getting my drive-through food in X minute and Y seconds, I simply write "There was no delay."

Boo-boo number two, because I did not receive yesterday's email, and they don't know to whom it was sent.

Boo-boo number three, naming those who should not be named and providing contact info. Again. To the masses. Too ridiculous for words.

"Thank you in advance for your understanding." As opposed to ?

I may be reduced to a giggling fit.
Not sure if this is really something said incorrectly but it is kind of irritating. I got this is an email tonight. I copied and pasted it:

"You will need to pay with cash and obtain receipt of any kind—you may have to ASK or BEG to get a receipt—it is not automatically given. Please be sure to obtain a receipt."

I am sorry but I am not going to beg for anything....ever. The main reason being is because I have too much pride. Another reason would be that I feel "begging" would look very suspicious and my cover would be blown.

Well it does not matter because I am out of the age range anyway (20-30) it just bothers me that we would be expected to "beg".

Forgive my grammar and spelling on the boards. I am off duty.
About Face today re a termite job, "The Visit must take place between 09/18/2010 and 09/19/2010. The Visit may not take place on Sundays."
"Some changes for sentence structure were mad in the narrative comments."

They mad changes but my score received a ding. Or is that dung smiling smiley
Ah, About Face must read this board. The new rules are, "The Visit must take place on 09/19/2010.The Visit may not take place on Sundays." Wonder what calendar they use?
For Non-Candian Shoppers: Please re-register with us as an International Shopper

Who the heck are Candian? LOL!
I don't know who Candians are, but I'm pretty sure I'm a non-Candian. So where do I register?
I spotted a Candian in a sample dome at the bakery. The nons were hanging out in Produce. They're funny that way.
LMAO! Thanks so much for the giggles this morning! During my grocery shops today, I wonder if I'll spot any! lol
Something I noticed just today that made me laugh...

"Shop rating: 9/10
Reviewer Comments :Thanks for the well written report. Please respond to editor requests in a more timely manner."

While this is not necessarily funny taken at face value, understand that the shop was performed at 12:30 PM on a Wednesday and submitted at 2:15 PM that same day. I received a review notice the following Tuesday at 7:31 AM, explaining that a bug in the form had been fixed and asking me to enter a staff description that was previously not allowed. I was coincidently logged into the site and sitting at my computer when the email came through, so I quickly resubmitted the shop at 7:32 AM.

Time taken to review my submission: 6 days
Time taken for me to resubmit: 1 minute

I still can't decide if the editor has a wry sense of humor, or this was an attempt at serious feedback! It's not an MSC known for it's sense of humor and I have received 10's on every other report with them since 2004.
Aaargh! Are you going to contest the 9? Obviously the 'correction' was not a 'correction' but additional information required that was supplied quickly on notification.
I'm not sweating the score. KSS schedules for this MSC and I have received 100% of the assignments I applied for, even since getting the 9.

I just think it's funny that they put the blame on me for the tardy submission.

At a certain point, I think a key to being a preferred shopper when many are getting 10's is not contesting scores. The schedulers and MSC have better things to do than feeding my ego by correcting the mistake.
