Yea, it was actually me who answered this one. No worries.
I keep it clean by what I learned from my wife and in-laws, who had pools most of their lives. The secret is to keep all the OTHER chemicals that are not salt or chlorine (depending on which system you have) at the right levels, because that is how to keep the actual salt or chlorine at a good level as well. Once you do that, you can enjoy manually vacuuming the pool, its a good workout for us with bad backs. I love going in and just letting my back stretch out in the pool, I try to get in as much as I can!
