Where Are You Shopping Today?

Chase, 2 Sonics (not eating the food) 2 gas stations and one of those chicken strips places. (I might eat the food LOL.)

Do y'all request these higher fees from the Sonic/Five Guys company? They are never ever bonuses in my area and see to get taken, so I never do them. Of course, as I have discussed before, it's a good thing, because I really don't need any fat....um....fast food shops.

I initially saw the bonuses via Samantha by email. The bonus was $6 and I live in a shopper dense suburb. After reading advice from catlassy, I started requesting a $12 bonus with the last Five Guys price increase. They never turn me down as long as I use her method.

I do one shop per month, and I spread it out over a few meals.

Today was 2 quick teller shops for Wells Fargo, one USPS bonused box, and a mailing project. Does anyone else who is doing the mailing project remove the unused stamps to reuse from the first envelope that you are to discard...I do...that's $5.00 worth of stamps. I just wet it and peel it off and use a glue stick to glue it on a letter or package...talk about frugal!!

I don't do them for "that" company. I do them for a different company. The emphasis is on timing, right down to the second. The base pay is $10. I have done so many that I really have it down to a science so they are worth it to me because I love the tea and don't have to buy it if I'm out doing shops all over.

Some wonderful financial shops. Made some nice cash in the past two days, a rarity for me.

I did 2 reveal and reward shops that were so much fun because both times they did the right thing and got the reward. This weekend I'm taking it easy. On Saturday I'm doing a lunch shop that's in cafe that's inside a museum and I'm stoked because I've wanted to go there for awhile and it pays for two admissions and two meals.

I'm also doing an extremely upscale hotel shop on Saturday night which is fun on one hand and so much work on the other. I have being doing this particular shop 3 times a year for the past 10 years and it is directly through one of the most senior executives at the hotel and not through a MS company. I'm listed as a "VIP" on the reservation and they want to make sure their VIPS are being taken care of in a certain way. I book the cheapest room but always get upgraded to something swanky. I landed the gig by happenstance and I've been doing it ever since. I shop the bellboy, concierge, 1 meal at the restaurant (the reservation, the host/hostess, the sommelier, the waiter, the food, the timing, etc). 1 meal in room, housekeeping, engineering, the front desk (pretend you need a toothbrush or different pillow), a spa treatment, check out, etc. There's also a 6-7 page checklist of items to check on in the room itself. I go over the room with a magnifying glass, a black light and I have a few other tricks up my sleeve. I bring a telescoping pole in my luggage that has a duster on the end so I can find dust in the highest or lowest places. This hotel is supposed to be 5-star treatment, service, and room and I'm super picky - and that's exactly what they need - someone who super picky. They want someone to notice that the waiter bringing the in-room meal had a button missing on his white glove. That kind of thing. I have a couple of days to do the report, but I do a lot of as I go while I'm at the property. It's the swankiest shop I do and the one with the most narrative, timings, and side quests. I have to take dozens and dozens of photos and it's easy to miss something. Anyway, it's a very lucrative shop on top of a free hotel, free meals and free spa treatments but I'll be writing reports and uploading pictures for the next 3 days. :confused smileyigh::
I have the chicken reveal and reward shop today. I know a lot of people are saying they don't pay enough but in my area they are HEAVILY bonused.

@bgriffin,

Do you just travel all over the place doing shops?

I live a little less than an hour north of Denver and was there over the weekend for my son's bday. We went to the museum, the aquarium, stayed in a hotel, and at dinner one night at Cinzettis (HIGHLY recommended...104th Ave off I25)

Did 2 shops during that time because they had good bonuses and didn't do more because I wanted to enjoy the weekend.

Found out that there are a LOT of great places to shop in Denver and Longmont....lots of bonuses, too.

I guess I will try to make "Day Routes," and make trips to Northern Denver and Longmont to try to actually start making a good income in this business. Fort Collins/Loveland seem to be pretty good shopping spots, too. I just need to figure out how to arrange it to do more than a couple in one day

My husb is a state trooper. He works along the I25/I70/I76 corridor(s). Say "hi" if you see him out there today winking smiley
I'm doing a Papa John's shop to have a pizza ready for the kids tonight after basketball practice. Also making a pot roast in the crock pot...Papa J's is to just tide them over as an "after school snack"
Worked far from home today. Enjoyed the range: real cowboys were rounding up real cattle. Picturesque. Now, I am just dawdling for a few minutes until report time.

Tonight I'm shopping a sports bar for happy hour. I like shopping there on Tuesdays because I get double points.

crayon, what a neat opportunity!

I am going away for a couple of weeks so I'm cramming shops before I leave on Friday: USPS, breakfast buffet, gas station hoagie, BJ's takeout on Halloween, and two Blaze shops in one day.

After Europe (with no shops), I'm home for three days, then away for a Coyle resort shop. Home for three days, then off to the caribbean for a wedding over Thanksgiving (I'm shopping the flights). Oh yeah and then there's my full time day job and tending to my 6 month old.
Just one grocery shop today. But I got on with CCMI for merchandising jobs and did 4 of those this week. YAY!
Did my first Five guys today and guess what...I loved it, even (as Jas would say) the undercooked potato's, I never eat salt, and they were so salty, like music to my mouth. The report was another story......

Today brings B/A investment...so, I have half a mill to invest, aren't I lucky...drinks on me.....
Just did my job and the target was the Vice-President of the investment firm....totally looked down on me
as I didn't have enough to invest (I followed directions). He wouldn't give me a brochure or discuss anything with me, saying I should try B/A.....this is a first.

Irene, that's going to be some interesting report for you to write up and for them to read!!!
Guysmom...I had to evaluate the Vice-President of the investment...gimme a break, yes, not a good report, won't go into it, but awaiting results...I just told what happened, what else could I do?

It wasn't right for him to look down on you. Talk about needing to re-train somebody, and one of the higher-ups, no less!
