JobSlinger vs Presto maps vs Sassie vs Volition vs...what am I missing?

Hi can someone explain the relationship between the above mentioned websites? For instance, I gather that Sassie is a programming platform that a MSC might use to sign up new shoppers, list their available shops etc. And those seem to show up on my Presto map. So does that mean that all Sassie-using MSCs that have shops in my area will show up on my Presto map? Or only the MSCs that I have already signed up for?

And then there's JobSlinger. I did the free month of JS Plus. Does that list all Sassie & Vilition MSCs in my area? But then regular JS, that appears to only list Sassie companies correct? If I go to the Snap Shops section on JS & click to view all shops within 30 miles, will that show all Sassie MSCs in my area regardless if I've signed up with them yet?

Thanks for any insight, it's so confusing lol! I'm just trying to streamline the process a little bit - don't want to be doing the same thing twice through two different sites!

The easy one to remove from the mix is Volition. It is not a mystery shopping company nor a job board. It is simply a forum like this one.

AFAIK, Sassie, Jobslinger and Presto maps are all related.

Sassie is software used to host mystery shopping companies allowing shoppers to register and view individual job boards.

Jobslinger began as an aggregate job board. Most postings were from companies using Sassie. When I started a decade ago there were also postings from non-Sassie companies such as Market Force. Whether that is true now, I don't know. Jobslinger has expanded their services both for paying and non-paying customers. I don't use it often enough to say everything they have to offer or if there is value to the paid version.

Presto maps is another service I don't utilize. My understanding is Presto is also an aggregate, primarily for the Sassie companies, but in app form. I could not tell you if all jobs from each MSC are available in all formats.

No, not all jobs from all Sassie MSC's are listed on Jobslinger or Presto maps. I found that jobs on JS are mainly the hard to fill jobs that I see hanging around on frequent emails every month from the same few MSC's. You will see jobs for MSC's that you are not registered with on Presto. In my experiences, Presto maps lists a good number of jobs that are expired or are just advertising but not available in my area. I suggest registering with each MSC directly and relying on their direct job emails and checking their individual job boards at the MSC's website for a more realistic view of jobs available. MSPA has a large list of MSC's to sign up with. I am not sure if this is the same list that is associated with this forum (?) I'd recommend that you don't limit yourself to one platform, such as Sassie. That is not really a good indicator of what all is available in an area. For example ISS lists all the jobs available (that are public) for all of the MSC's that are associated with them. That is an easy one to check on for a variety of jobs. This is just ONE example that I can think of.
Thanks, I am registered with several other MSCs. And I do frequently check the individual boards of those Sassie MSCs. Looks like that's what I need to continue to do. Thanks!
While the list here includes most or all of the MSPA member companies, it also has MSCs who are not members of the MSPA. Don't let a company's decision to not be a member deter you. MSPA is simply a trade organization.

The reason it is recommended to sign up for as many companies as you can, is many opportunities are not openly advertised or otherwise posted on job boards. The client MSC relationship is protected this way, let alone the fact that the client has a program.

I highly recommend checking the different job boards on a regular basis, you never know what might show up. Could even be something with a MSC you are registered with but overlooked.

Two of the my most lucrative long term projects were not listed on any of the job boards. Gee I miss them.
Twice today I found shops listed on Presto Insta-Shops and NOT on the individual MSCs' job board! This was for two different MSCs and different clients. I hadn't noticed this much before so I'm wondering why and if it's a new thing. I don't look at Presto much but now I might as otherwise these two jobs would've never appeared on the individual job boards.
Huh interesting. But were those jobs still available? Or had someone already snag them from the msc's website but they were still listed on presto?
Every once in a while, there are jobs listed in Presto that are "insta-shops". These are not listed on the regular Sassie job board. They are usually quick shops like a menu photo audit or fast food item shop. Due to being easy and quick, they also don't pay much but are good as a last minute way to get lunch (if you happen to be in the area that the shop is already). Most route shoppers will not schedule lunch shops as they have to be done within a specific time and they want shops more flexible which these are (as they are self assign and quick to complete).

Yep! the lunch shops and the certain time shops are a pain to schedule around sometimes. I have done a couple and just missed the correct time to start. Really chaps when that happens.
