What to do when an employee recognizes you from a shop months before.

just asking because we had another member who went on & on & on & on, probably writing book or food blog. the ma member's posts are alot shorter than those posts & they make more sense.

I know which member you are talking about. MA is sensible and isn't remotely similar to that person.

I'm glad to read this post as I was thinking about this today. I had a shop on Sunday and actually returned to the location today for personal reasons. I was actually worried that they might recognize me, but totally different staff this time.

I did a cell phone shop. I was the only white person there. And probably the only redhead some of the staff had ever seen. So, nope, offer me $110 again to do the shop -- no way am I EVER going back there again!!!

And they had the applications for the free "Obama phone" (well, geesh, that is EXACTLY what they called them, the program to get cell phone service to low income Americans), and they refused to give me an application
(yes, I do qualify).

They said it wasn't for white people.....

(I'm not kidding. That's EXACTLY what the manager told me, that I did not qualify for the Obama Phone because I am white. Hey, some whites are low income, too!!! Reminds me of 1980's, when I was expecting a child, lost my job, and had to go on temporary welfare -- the person who took my application actually asked me "What are you doing here? You're WHITE." Like being white protects someone from the vicissitudes of life?)
