Grocery shops question

I have just signed up with doing some grocery shops and have to have an interaction with customer service. Do you think my question could be can I get a $1 lottery ticket? There are only so many questions you can ask about loyalty cards and such. I saw the reference in their pharmacy shops that you can't buy just lottery tickets there but nothing in the other shops concerning lotteries. I don't usually get lottery tickets but saw so many people get them when I had to check in at CS for a merchandising shop and figure it can't hurt to ask. Who knows, if I win big I will definitely share!
Thanks so much for your input.

How is asking them for a $1 lottery ticket evaluating their knowledge?

Equal rights for others does not mean fewer rights for you. It's not pie.

There are a couple of grocery shops I have done where you are allowed to purchase a lottery ticket. But as for a required knowledge question, no, I'm with Lisa, your question would have to be one that evaluates their knowledge and ability to explain something to you. But maybe you will ask "Can I get a lottery ticket here?" and get a yes answer. Then your shop will be declined because you didn't evaluate the employee's knowledge but if you win the lottery, you won't care.
One of the grocery shops I have, I do that every time. It's a shop where I just have to have an interaction. So basically I am seeing if they greet, smile, assist and thank. It has nothing to do with knowledge. I have done it for many years no problem.

Do you accept competitor coupons? Do you double coupons? Do you accept out of state checks? Do you cash payroll checks? Do you have money orders? Do you offer a loyalty card? What time do you open in the morning/close tonight? Where are the 3M hooks located?
I wasn't sure if it's ok, hadn't done the lottery in years and discovered there are so many different ones. Evidently they are not just $1 anymore. I thought it was one lottery but then she asked me which one and named off a lot of kinds. Was not sure if this was a good knowledge type of question or not. Ask when they are picked? What is a power ball? I asked her if I needed to redo my card each year for the school and felt lucky so I got a ticket for the first time in years. It made me think this may be an easy question, I guess not... thanks for the help.

Ask for the weekly ad and what day of the new week the ad comes out. Ask if they sell stamps. Ask what their holiday hours are for an upcoming holiday. Those will assess their knowledge.
I always ask the scheduler. they send me a couple of questions when I am confused. I do a lot of Grocery shops, brunch and movies and I always make sure that I email in advance.
