Grocery Shop Price Audits

I've had them question me for the same thing. They also don't understand that it takes much longer if you don't find the item.

I did the pet store one several times for the monthly one. The 1000 item one was not at a time that I could do it and so I didn't take it. Never got asked again and don't see the monthly one. I did get an email asking why so many items marked not available and I said that they did not carry the exact one on the listing and they say no substitutions, also the store does not carry several brands they ask for. I guess I goofed by saying the truth. No big deal, hardest I've ever worked for the price.

Hmmm. Did the blow your phone up calling all the time? Even if i answered it there was always someone else calling to see when i was going to start and finish. As much as i disliked them and their tactics, i really needed the money. It was consistent.

Do you still have the same job just one less client? I had three different jobs. The single category that i had done for 1 1/2 yrs for 4 stores, multi category for same 4 stores that i did only 3 times and a multi category at one store which is the only one i have left and its a giant PITA. The others were supposedly cancelled by the client.

Yes, 555katwoman666, they dropped one of my three stores without notice nor explanation. When I asked, they said that the client canceled participating in the program.
I got relieved of my duty this month too. After multiple weeks of the client questioning my work and having to defend myself - I'm kind of glad I got pulled, I liked the consistent few extra bucks as I got extremly efficient in my 120 items and could complete in 15 minutes. But the follow up and the hassle is no longer worth my time. There were points where they even tried to ask me to take photos of all the items to prove my entries.

What caused me to get kicked off is the client questioning why my prices didn't match the website and why so many of my items would be priced at the same price point. My local store is consistent - pears, apples, greens, bagged salads...they don't vary for variety. All are same price regardless of varietal type. Fuji, gala, McIntosh, pink lady, etc all $1.99/lb - every bagged lettuce $1.99, and they carry local produce that prices will vary depending on what the farmer needs to sell it at. One Monday I might have to pay $2 for seedless cucumbers, but if the local farmers comes in with a load later I'm the week...the store doesn't have to order from the warehouse and they'll carry local for $1.75

I'm glad I've found this website because with everyone's input and the quality information provided here - I've easily been able to replace this time commitment with better paying jobs.

@Dongjuan Sounds like we did the same audits. Mine original four stores were produce only ~120 per store. In and out in 15 mins. Typical no notice from the MSC but three of my four are back. Plus the 463 extra for one store is now 785! Oh yeah, I won't get noticed for that! Even doing multiple visits I'm running around like a chicken with its head cut off. These are poorly grouped and just not phun. What the slimey MSC/client did was incorporate the higher paying items into the lower paying job and removed the higher paying project. It's only $0.02 difference but it adds up. And I hate sneaky cheaters. I'll be asking for mo fo sho!
I love audits Except for one, where am employee followed me around the store, I have usully been completely ignored by the store employee.

With all of the price audits, it usually takes longer the first time you complete it and gets faster each time. I look at it like a treasure hunt game.

Haha! I thinks it's like the Where's Waldo of shopping!
After reading this entire topic, I'm really surprised that for my first ever job, they give me 1554 items, and about 14 days to do it. I almost think it's a TEST, to see if I've got the strength to get through it without losing my mind! :-) At this point, I've got enough time invested that I can't not finish... I'd be giving them my work for free, and they've said to get paid, I must complete ALL missions. What's up with that, anyway? Can they really do that? I don't believe they are a scam company...

Has anybody worked with Survey.com
or
Field Agent?

I initially had a good experience with Survey, but it has steadily gone downhill.

Would like to try Field Agent.....has anybody worked with either one?

What are the best legit ones you have found?
Thanks!!

I recently did my first and only shop for FA, and it was rejected. While doing the report, I realized I needed to "go back" and correct one of my answers. This app has NO WAY to "go back" once you click "Next", so I couldn't correct it. Naturally, my report was denied, which I was expecting. I was already in the store doing my regular shopping, so I tried it to see how it went. Not sure if I'll try another one. But be careful if you try one with FA....and just remember that there is NO WAY to "go back" if you realize you need to add or correct a previous page.
Their both cheapskates. However, if you happen to be there, where FA has an assignment, it's fast and easy money. Survey has lost their minds with their "merchandising" assignments that take an hour or so, print LOA, ask for the sale etc., for $7! However, I have every single app on my phone and I never discount any of them because there is always a potential $$ opportunity on all of them.
Since we're sidetracking to apps, anyone else get the ISS coffee assignment? Holy moly! I will be thoroughly caffeinated and many acquaintances as well for the next few months! Plus, I'm doing the Brand Ambassador part and crossing my fingers for the survey prize. They don't even really need to give me the $12 fee.

With FA jobs, you often can go “back” to change/update an answer. It’s only some of their jobs that the survey won’t allow you to make any changes.
Thanks, that's good information to know. Since my one and only shop for FA was denied because I could not go back and change it, I just assumed FA did that for all their shops. Thanks for chiming in!
If you live in an area where not too many people regularly use FA. Hold back on jobs and the price goes up. Stay away from scavenger hunt jobs, you aren't meant to find these items. My area has alot of pizza shop/jobs on FA. Not sure what I did, but I got to keep a $400 grill for one of the jobs. I understand this probably isn't the norm, but it seriously came and the only requirement was a few sentences on the manufacturer website as a sincere review.
I got started in this using using survey and fa, i also had the cant go back issue luckily i must have done something right because it went through. Had yhem reject another though because they said there was a gkare in a bardcode photos even though the barcode was also scanned. I like bith because they oay quickly. The sellin requirement with survey is ridiculous for the 7
Just wanted to add ti tge sellin requirement, for that price clients are going to get some real chatacters acting on behalf of them, may affect brand image they shoukd build be weary
Absolutely, $7 plus print LOA, product bar codes, ask for reorder and more shelf space. pleeeeeeease!
Hi Everyone. I just want to jump in and explain the price audit visit you're all doing for us. @555katwoman666 you still are scheduled up until this date to conduct the price audits with DSG. There are other projects that were no longer active and so these audits are no longer available for scheduling. We apologize if you felt that we just found a replacement. We always consider our regular and old time auditors to be working on projects like this which necessitates their skill and commitment to get things done. Those things can only be measured with the months shoppers have worked with us and how they complete the project.

Regarding the calls and email reminders, we apologize if we have to check in with you from time to time. This is a project protocol which we made everyone aware from the onset. Initially, we'll send a project confirmation and if we did not receive a feedback we called shoppers everyday until the audit commence. We replace them if we do not receive any confirmation. If they agreed and provide a time frame when they will complete, we expect progress. If we are not seeing any, we again check in via phone call or email follow up. Unlike the usual mystery shopping where you can re-schedule and the due dates are usually monthly, the audits have limited time frame. We cannot ask extension if we do not meet the deadline. We need to check if there's progress and communicate early on if there's none. If we have regular auditors and proved to be reliable, we keep communication into a minimum. If communication via email is requested we of course keep note of that and make follow ups thru email instead.

I hope this explains everything. If I can be of help you can always reach me at 1-800-462-8765 ext.118.

Thanks everyone!
