Bad idea to do pizza pickup while doing a route?

I once had a Subaru Outback, and took the photos in the back of the car. No problems, though I might suggest taking them outside on the car. Just put a towel down.

Depends on your car. If it's too crowded, find a nearby area where you can do it elsewhere, whether it be a bench in a park, on the truck or hood of your vehicle when you're parked, etc.
Very infrequently shopping the Greater Denver Area, Colorado Springs and in-between in Colorado these days.
I have a hatchback and I put the pizza in back and snap the picture with no problems.
I just take them outside. So much easier. I don't have to worry so much about shadows.
I have pizza in my trunk as we speak. I put it wherever the sun is not shining on it... In my hatchback trunk or on the backseat with something to keep it level. Have not had any returned so far.
I have done quite a few in my back seat. Open the box, turn on the flash, lean way in the car over the pizza so that you are directly over it. Center the box in the viewfinder and snap several pics with and without flash. Review them and be on your way.
I did some for Little Ceasars in my car photo of pizza and breadsticks. Always were accepted but of course they were not the pizza photo nazi papa johns
Shopping Western NY, Northeast and Central PA, and parts of Ohio and West Virginia. Have car will travel anywhere if the monies right.
FYI one time I took pictures on the back of my car, and the editor made a snarky comment that (at least for my shop) my instructions said that I had to take the photos at home on a table. It could be a different company. I had to sit on "pins and needles" to see if the client would "accept" the photos on the back of the car.

I've done a handful of Papa Johns shop pictures in my car while route shopping and have never had one rejected. Just make sure that you handle the pizza properly afterwards if you plan on eating it. Once, I bought the pizza right before a concert. The pizza sat under the seat of my car, parked in the hot sun, for several hours. I brought it into my hotel room that night, ate some, and left the rest in my car the next day while visiting an amusement park. It didn't get refrigerated until over 24 hours after being cooked! I lucked out, but that was a really stupid thing to do! :-P
The next time I did a long distance shop that involved leftovers, I made sure to bring along a cooler and some ice!

I've submitted and had accepted photos that I took outside. I pulled into a church parking lot on a Friday evening and put the pizza box on the ground. I did take some extra photos cause that was odd.
I live 50km from town. I always take the Papa John pizza picture outside. I use my phone and crop it so all that ever shows is the pizza box.
Now, what I have been wondering is whether I should take the delivery shop and have it delivered to a picnic table at the park. lol
We did once have pizza delivered when we were camping. (Not a mystery shop)

Tv tray that folds up works good too. Just fold it up and find a parking lot down the road unfold it and snap away. If it is windy use double sided tape.
Yes, keep tape in car for the little paper with the job id

The previous MSC that had the big Papa John's contract required that the delivery shop either be done at your home or work. It specified that you cannot do the shop in a parking lot or anywhere else. I would assume that the current MSC has the same requirements.@prince wrote:

Uh, we don't write the little paper with the job id anymore because of the guidelines with the new MSC that took over this account. I toss the pizza on the ground and take a pic, take it inside the car passenger seat with the phone practically on the headliner, on the trunk, in the trunk where ever works. I crop it like someone said above. After 15 minutes the crust is pretty groady, I wouldn't save it except maybe some of the pepperoni pieces. Eat two pieces and then ask whomever is around you if they want a slice!
Carried a large flat box that I had received something in when it was broken down it worked fine when placed on the bed of the truck. That is until I forgot to put it up one day and it blew away.

On a bright day, get into even shade, under a tree, the side of a building. direct sunlight does not work well--- too many shadows and a washed out picture. plop the pizza directly on the cement (or you can bring a sheet, drop cloth if you do not want to put it directly on the cement/pavement.) stand directly over the pizza and shoot. make sure it is even shade and no shadows. i did mine at a drug store parking lot. yeah it looked a little weird to others, but i got over my embarrassment when I got paid 
. If is is bad weather you will have to find an inside business (or in a park under a covering etc) that will let you take your pictures inside. (Offer them some free pizza after you are done.) yeah its kind of weird but you don't want stale looking pictures.

taking pics in a car is hard- not enough room and odd shadows and uneven light.
McDonalds doesn't care if you bring your pizza, and even beer, in. They have great light.

You betcha! But I bought a cup of coffee first. AND, I used their wi-fi to do the report, hiccup.
No way! I enjoy the pizza best fresh, but I usually end up eating an almost whole leftover pizza over the next few days (refrigerated and not re-heated). I'm a sucker for cold pizza!!! The toppings make a difference, though. Cold mushrooms - not too great.@spicy1 wrote:
