Ethical Issues Regarding Wire Transfers
Yes, but remember the company is trying to make sure their employees are following the rules. There are some shops I refuse, because I don't like what is being asked of me.
Not that this applies to me, but I have an ethical issue with paying 18-20 year olds to sign up for a credit card.

I find there are several shops I have ethical issues with. Most of thoes require me to ask employees for drugs and/or hookers though. I hadn't considered the ethical ramifications of the wire transfer ones (I also haven't taken any of those yet). Thinking about it, I probably will continue to avoid those.
I only have an issue with the fact that it is a sting operation and they don't pay FBI wages or provide a badge or swear me in, which I would love to be sworn in.
Esleyoga, just food for thought. What if it is a FBI or state/local officer that is "playing" as a clerk and you ask him/her for a prostitute or drugs??????
Hmm, I have never seen a shop that requires one to ask for drugs or hookers.
I agree with Spicy1, I have never heard nor seen any assignments that ask for hookers or drugs, just food for thought.
There's a shop where you ask about drugs. They don't cover the drug purchase, however...
There are several reassurances in the description saying, "You won't get arrested for this. Don't worry." @@ That totally makes me feel better, lol. I get WHY the owners of the clubs want it done - better me for $100 (or whatever) than a vice cop that will shut the place down. I just don't feel comfortable doing it and so I never take those.
I live in Nevada. I don't know if it's different here than elsewhere. I know we have tons of strip clubs that check for hookers and drugs and then regular night/day clubs that check for drugs only. I'm not comfortable with either.
Aw, Vegas. Yes, I can see if I lived in Vegas I would see those shops. I would do those.
The one using a provided bogus SS number is also on my ten foot pole list...... they say you are safe but no where in ANY paperwork on ANY of the above mentioned shops says attorney fees covered if necessary... all for eight bucks or so. Nope!
The one where you go into an expensive purse store and put something inside the purse (from inside the store..... where you took it off the shelf) and "see" if the associate opens it and catches the item you took? What next? They find the item? Then they call the police?? Feels just like shoplifting to me...no thanks! 
You may want to re-read the requirements for the purse store shop. Didn't the shopper say they were NOT to leave the store if the employee missed the extra item in the purse?

I did the WU shops twice but I felt so uncomfortable I will not do them again. It is not worth the money to feel as if you are doing something shady. I never knew that there are shops that require you to ask for drugs and hookers :-O

That reminds me of the one where you have to put something on the bottom of the cart at the grocery and see if they spot it without saying anything. You don't walk out of the store with the item, but it still feels off. I always (when regular shopping) put my soda on the bottom of the cart and point it out to the cashier. These ones are hard in that I have to remind myself to not say anything (and not put something I actually want on the bottom because you don't purchase it if they don't say anything).
I had a surprisingly high ratio of wire transfer agents that were willing to process my proposed illicit transaction on a round of these shops.
I see postings for shops where the mystery shopper is supposed to do a $20 wire transfer, then try to get a refund. I avoid those. That would make me very uncomfortable. I don't like the idea of spending my money, and risk not being able to get a refund.
