Gigspot

Forgive me if this is not the right spot to ask this, please. Are we better off not using Gigspot? Are all the available jobs showing up on the available shops, or is it only a few? I hate that I can no longer get into the companies job boards and I was just wondering everyone else's opinion. Thank you.

If you use the "search" function and put in "all dates," you will likely find a lot more.

Yeah, most people don't like them but of course it's a personal choice. Oh, if you are with them now, don't just self-deactivate, email them to deactivate to be completely removed and then you will be allowed to access Shop Metrics companies via direct log in. That's what I had to do and they are very responsive when contacted via email. I think there are people who like using GS but I wasn't one of them.

Just know if you opt out, you'd have to create a new account with a different email, if you decide to use them again.

Thank you JASFLAMT, I emailed them just like you suggested. They were very responsive and deactivated my account. I have already picked up a few shops that I do not think I would have got otherwise.

Thank you eyelove2shop, that is very helpful info. if I do decide to sign back up. I do like Gigspot but I like being able to get into the companies directly too. I wish they would let us sign up and go directly to the companies if we choose to do so.

Amen!!! I can see jobs that I use to do all the time listed on the Gig Spot email but when I click over the jobs are not there. I am not a Gig Spot fan. So much so I wonder if I deactivate Gig Spot can I go back to looking at all my MSC pages?

Yes, I did and have not missed it.
When entering a shop through the app some of the writing was so small that even with my reading glasses there was no way to read what it said. The one thing I did like about the Gigspot app was you could easily see your pay information and could look up the pay dates quickly as well. That is what I miss.

I found this e-mail address. I'm going to try to use it to un-subscribe to Gigspot. They also have a contact us button on the login page.

Also I noticed that most, but not all the MSCs on Gigspot are also on MSJobBoard.com.
