Intellishop

I did some pizza carryout mystery shopping jobs, and in the instructions it said I would get a two dollar tip, but I was never paid for this. I contacted my scheduler, and she said you don't get reimbursed for the tip, but I showed her the guidelines where it said we did and she never responded. Has anyone else had issues with these shops too?

You need to edit your post to remove the name of the pizza shop. The option is in the lower right hand corner. The posting guidelines here along with the contract you signed with Intellishop prohibit revealing the clients of mystery shopping companies.

Why would you get a $2 tip reimbursement? You didn't tip anyone did you? I never tip on a carryout. That is silly.

Isn't that the tip reimbursement for delivery? Maybe the guidelines weren't adjusted for carry out. Or the guidelines could have included all scenarios and the OP missed carry out didn't include a tip. If the OP did confuse the scenarios, he/she may have thought the tip was a requirement.

The guidelines including the little blurb on the job page in Sassie, do mention a 2$ tip, even on the carryout scenarios. I assumed it was a mistake meant only for delivery shops. Since the OP didn't get paid it looks like I was right.

They told me that is was a typo on their end, but they are still refusing to pay. I just think if a mistake is made on their end they should pay for it because if we made a mistake on are end in following the guidelines they would not pay us.

Sorry that this happened to you, but I would just forget about it, not worth the effort in most cases. If you are new to Mystery shopping you will realize quickly mistakes are made on both ends.

Next time they are desperate for a shop to get done, make sure you get extra as bonus before you agree to take it.

I agree with the OP. If there is a mistake in the guidelines that says tipping is covered, and you tip, you should get reimbursed. It's not the OP's fault, it's the MSC's fault. It's not unreasonable to follow not crazy instructions in the guidelines. Perhaps the OP has never done carryout before, how would they know they shouldn't tip? I've been in situations (though not while MSing) where I wasn't sure whether to tip or not. I like to err on the side of yes tipping rather than stiffing the people giving service.

Same thing here -- I didn't get reimbursed for the tip either. Sucks because it was definitely in the guidelines that they would reimburse it, even on the carry outs. I did two of them where I tipped $2 so out $4. Not a lot, but it would add up and certainly could have paid some toll fees on the way home.

Dis you add the 2 dollar tip and put that total in the total cost? Ivr done several and have been reimbursed for the tip everytime.

I live in an area where there are very little mystery shoppers, so my first month I did 10 carryout shops, so I am out $20. I have stopped tipping since, but it is just kind of annoying.

I did the same thing. I even sent screen shots to the scheduler. It was not a typo and now they have removed it. A typo is when you accidentally say a $20 tip reimbursement instead of a $2. A typo is not when you blatantly put in the guidelines that you will be reimbursed the full purchase cost of a pizza worth up to $25 including a $2 tip. I don't think I have ever had a typo insert 15 characters into a sentence for me that spelled out words and dollar amounts -_- pay your shoppers. Ugh.

So after over 30 emails and a week of arguing they finally said that they would make me, but with I company like this I won't believe it until the money is sent to me.

Intelli-shop is the worst company for a reason.
I have risked HUGE amounts of money of shops over the years. I'd never risk anything close to that on anything for Intelli-shop. They are completely unresponsive. The worst MSC for communication that I have dealt with in 20 years, and that includes Hilli-Dunlap and Infotel. At least I could get ahold of them to let them know that they owed me money. God forbid, you have an issue with a shop. Good luck getting an answer.

Like a doctor's office that expects you to be on time for an appointment or call to cancel. However, they can make you wait an hour past your appointment time. Some even make you prepay in advance of your appointment. So, what did one man do when he sees prepaying as using his money. He charged them interest for every day that his money was being used!! Novel idea. So, for every day that shops do not pay beyond the stated time charge a $1.00 per day and notify the MSC. Sort of like what they do in deducting money they owe you when certain things are not done to their liking. By the way, it is just like debt collectors who charge for non payment or companies who report you to credit bureaus for non payment.
