What was your best MS "score?"

I had a shop at a national shoe chain and the shop was to use a coupon app (giving me 10% off) to purchase anything I wanted. The reimbursement was $40. The day I did the shop there was a BOGO sale on handbags. I got two beautiful leather bags for what amounted to $18, for both, not each (the final cost after using the app coupon, store sale, and reimbursement). What has been your best deal while mystery shopping? What did you come home with and say "I just got the deal of the year?"

I'd say it's an indirect coincidence, but I had a project that flew me to New Orleans. My flight back to Denver was cancelled due to weather. By coincidence, I was able to initiate the Trip Delay Insurance benefit on my credit card I purchased the flights with. I was finished with my work already for the projects, but I was stuck in New Orleans for another day. I was able to qualify for $500 total of 'reasonable' expenses for food, lodging, clothing and other consumables for that single day.

Rather than purchasing a new outfit, I decided to find the most expensive hotel in the area that had available rooms and eat what I wanted, no matter the cost. My hotel of choice turned out to be the Ritz-Carlton, New Orleans. I kept close track of my expense and for my 'extended stay' in New Orleans, I was able to get all $500 spent (total was about $496 plus some change) reimbursed after some clarifications back and forth regarding receipts and flight cancellation details! I lowkey was hoping to be 'stuck' in New Orleans for additional days, but that single day alone was a nice, unexpected treat all in itself, plus stacking on some nice Marriott Rewards points for the stay!

Very infrequently shopping the Greater Denver Area, Colorado Springs and in-between in Colorado these days.
I was given an $80.00 bottle of Chanel perfume years ago as I had worked for them in handbags and cosmetics, Not much lately shopping, but, not a shop, still hard to beat. I went to Kohl's with a 30% off coupon. Lauren Conrad had a dress on sale for 5.00 (beautiful). I bought it for my daughter and got a credit for 1.00 to my account....beat that!! I'm still waiting, since cosmetics shops lowered the fee, and many times you no longer ask for samples, things have changed. I do miss the About Face shops of long ago. Did well when shopping in Vegas, especially the "Ice Bar" which I did in the Mandalay Bay hotel..yes, the same one....drinks and dinner were off the chart, unforgettable.

Live consciously....
I scored a free driver's education training course for my 16 year old son - valued at $700. Through my account and with my guidance (he was interviewed by the MCS owner, with me on the line), he earned $330 for taking the course and evaluating the instructor/driving school.

Always take the high road.
Awesome shares, especially the driving school.

I got a really nice box of loose black & green tea set. It was orignally $48 from a shop I did at a hospital gift shop. The shop fee was $30 plus $10 Reimbursement. It was on clearance for $9.99. I only had a $10 and $100 bill. The cashier let me have it for $10 no tax since she didn't have enough to break $100 grinning smiley

Can you tell me how to get projects that sponsor such trips??

It all calls for finding the right project where it makes sense for a company to shell out that much money to complete a project. I understand I may not be giving out any information that'll lead you to any specific projects or MSC's, but all I'll say is that they're out there and sometimes 'combining' multiple projects to make it justifiable to fly out somewhere, combining reimbursements to cover a ticket, etc. is the way to go. Of course, many of my projects where I fly out are definitely not as profitable as working my day job, so I often do it for the experiences. If I profit from any of the trips, then great! If not, I'll treat any of these business trips as 'income saved,' more than anything.

I was exceedingly happy to have a Goodwill shop where I found a nice pair of dress pants and a really nice dress for $10.12. I will be reimbursed $10. Not a big deal to most, but I haven't been able to buy new (to me) clothes for a while.
On a shop this summer sponsored by a credit card company, I was able to purchase a very nice new lawnmower for my husband that retailed for $285.00. The shop paid $250, so we essentially got a new mower for $35.
During a teller shop, the manager brought icecream sundaes in for all the tellers. My teller refused her sundae. The manager offered me hers. I accepted. An unexpected treat for me during a teller shop.

I like cash... I once got a $250 bonus on a $6 gas station shop.... It was a drive - a very pretty drive to the middle of nowhere. ..... In a two hour trip to a casino, I brought home $150 cash (in addition to the pay and a reimbursed meal).

Hard work builds character and homework is good for your soul.
4 for 4 doubling down on 11 by getting face cards. It was nice, since it was $100 hands. Even better that this client let me keep the winnings. I made more in 15 minutes than I made doing the entire shop.
MSC wanted me to open a 90 day CD at an online bank and provide screen shots of the sign up process. The MSC provided the $500 for the account, and after the CD came due, the money was mine to keep.

I recently did an amusement shop where I got reimbursed for 2 unlimited day passes. There happened to be a special that day, where if you bought a day’s pass, you would get a season pass for free, which includes the rest of 2017 and all of 2018. So I can bring my kiddos back as many times as I want for free until 2019!
I'm new so I don't have a lot of big scores yet, but I'm still pretty pleased with this one. I went to a women's clothing store with flat free of $10 and reimbursement up to $8. Long story short, I found a dress that was originally $69.99 that was on clearance for $19.99, so to me it feels like I got it for $1.99! I'm actually thinking of using the dress for cosplay by turning it into a costume, since it was so inexpensive. But it's also nice enough to wear out to the ballet or a nice dinner!
One Father's Day I shopped some technology related store to get something for a computer. Report took 10-15 minutes and was eaaaaaaaaaasy. I did not get paid for it but I got reimbursed for the purchase which cost $140. I bought it then sold it for $100 online.

But the "best score" I ever had while on a MS visit: I was at some fine dining place that I had to do solo. The server was really nice and I thought she was flirting with me. I couldn't do anything about it since I was there to MS it. I leave, do the report, come back about a week later and she is there. I asked her out and she accepted. I enjoyed being with her and we had a relationship for some time. I never told her why I was really there. I was very smitten by her and we dated for several months and I even thought I was going to Marry her. Things happened and we broke up and she stopped working there not much later. I sometimes go back there and sometimes I sit and wonder............?????????

I did a jewelry shop twice. I got a $100 for reimbursement each time with $15 as the shop fee. The second time, I got a free charms bracelet as a gift for my daughter who was tagging along. The shop form was very easy to fill out and they made great gifts, saving me money on important occasions.
