Applebees

I see the “vary” part now. I also noticed they have a two for $25 option that doesn’t look bad. I would just have to pay the tax after the reimbursement.

The artichoke dip comes in frozen and all they do is thaw and heat up.

If you do a lunch you are allowed to order combo specials. I asked and they said yes.

About that burger: when I did dine-in shops there years ago for a different MSC, my husband ordered the burger and it was awful. We did the shop again and he ordered a burger again thinking it was just an unfortunate mishap. Nope, it was a dry hockeypuck the second time, too. I think that like most chains, this experience will vary from location to location. The spinach artichoke dip is consistently good.
Yeah, most chains do that. I cook food and freeze it in batches frequently. As long as it tastes good consistently, nothing wrong with that.
I agree JAS! Also, we as consumers, can't complain about the price/freshness/quality/quickness of restaurant food when we learn about the shortcuts or methods used to get there.

I did the curbside pickup shop last night. I discovered they had a two for $25 deal in addition to the $20 one. I used it for two entrees of ribs and top sirloin. Two sides of my choice for each entree but some were additional 99 cents and I didn’t chose those. One appetizer from a very limited list and I got the boneless chicken wings. The total with tax and small tip was under the reimbursement plus the fee. The report not too bad. I was satisfied and would do it again. I was impressed with the call efficiency, the speed of service and the quantity/quality of the food.

I have done many Car-side to Go shops. I wish they were here! Kenasch is right, they are very efficient and lots of food.
I've done Applebee's take-out and dine-in shops and definitely recommend doing the dine-in shop if you have a choice. I found that the take-out meals do not "travel" well in styrofoam containers. The food was not as fresh tasting as when I dine in. Not sure if the container affects the food (can't think of another reason why the same food tasted different to go) but it tasted much better when eating at the location.
