To Route or not to Route... Waiting.....

I have Friday off work and am hoping to put together a nice long route (out of the city and away from malls).... I have one plotted out that should pull in good money, but it all depends on picking up a heavily bonused shop - which is not available for self-assign.... I have applied and now I wait.... If it get it, I'll be on a mad scramble to scoop up the rest of my plotted route before the shops grabbed by somebody else, most of which is self-assign... However, if I self-assign the other shops firs and don't get this shop, it will be a lame day... Aargh... Waiting... Waiting.....

I know what you mean! I try to coordinate too. But after one very long Saturday a few weeks ago, I'm going to remember to build extra time into any route, because two of my jobs took SO MUCH LONGER than I expected. I was exhausted by the end of the day!
In general, it seems best to plan routes weeks in advance. For the "key" shop, have you called and emailed the MSC?

I find that I can do better on my routes if I plan them closer to the day, grabbing large bonuses from different MSC's.... Last weekend, I had a nice $300 8-hour route with only about 90 minutes in reports thereafter.

I know the MSC well - its just a matter of waiting for the scheduler to get online and assign it (hopefully to me..)....

Because most MSC's will not assign shops with major bonuses until the last 10 days or so of the month, this is my mode of operation at the end of every month. I am scrambling to put routes together at the last minute. Sometimes it works out well. I will gross ~$500 on a 7 shop 250 mile route tomorrow.
