SASSIE NARRATIVES: Can you cut and paste into it???

Not looking to take any unethical short cuts, but was wondering if a short length, redundant shop paragraph changed slightly depending on the shop employee names, day of the week, etc., can be cut and pasted into a the SASSIE narrative when the report is entered.

No. Write a new narrative when asked for it. Don't just copy and paste the same paragraph here, there and yon. You will be found out, deactivated and not paid.

An editor emailed me once about cutting and pasting my narrative from a previous report. In short order, it was established that she had emailed the wrong shopper. But, the point is that someone did it, it was caught, and it resulted in a rejected report.
I think it depends on the length, subject, and wording of the paragraph.

Sometimes I feel like I'm in a rut & tend to type the same answer for several shops in a route. How many different ways can I say that the foyer floor in a grocery store was clean and clear of debris? Realistically, those are more like sentences as opposed to a paragraph, though.

So, if it's a detailed paragraph, I would say no. But, if it's a generic paragraph that you use repeatedly, I don't see the harm as long as you modify it each time for the specifics of the situation.

In any case, I wouldn't use it more than on a very limited basis for the risks that others have noted.
And if you are going to do all of the modifications, why not just start from scratch? Mountains and molehills. I know the location wants to know about the signage, the ease of entry, the landscaping, the condition of the parking lot, the condition of the building and the cleanliness of the entryway. So just start typing rather than modifying anything. It may sound pretty much the same as last time, but this location had gum wads on the sidewalk by the entrance door that I may not remember if I am not 'revisiting' the location in my mind but rather trying to modify previous text. I've got my cheat sheet of what they want me to talk about. So that I don't bore myself too terribly I don't always comment on things in the sequence of my cheat sheet. But if you touch type it is going to be just as fast, if not faster, to recreate narrative than to look it up, modify and use.
Definitely write a new paragraph. Speaking from a MSP point of view, we have some shoppers who do a great job at lookig at each visit with a new set of eyes, even if they have done it multiple times. Things may be similar from visit to vist, but they are probably not the same.

These shoppers make it a point to look for new things that would be helpful to the client. Afterall, that is who the report is for, not the MSP.

These shoppers are also the goto shoppers for the jobs they apply request for that very reason.
I always start from scratch for each shop. I take notes for each question as soon as I am done with the shop, and base the narrative on the notes. It makes it a lot easier than trying to cut and paste, and compare and contrast the different shops. Of course some times the words get repeated, but I feel it makes the report a lot fresher and authentic.
New narritives for me too....seems easier than remembering cutting pasting and being repetitive...even though they are the same shop, different employees, and small things change.

Live consciously....
It sure is a temptation (wicked grin) to cut and paste a description when what one is describing is the script that each and every phone shop target uses, word-for-word, when one calls a certain national call center. Other than that, it's a no go.

This question is apparently wrote by a SASSIE operative. In Sassies' dos and don't page, they advise against cutting and pasting. This question is in there FAQ forum.

Do you realize how many times I have read all those FAQ b4 applying to MS? Each shop is different. I looked for the shops attributes b4 reporting. If they have been repaired then it is "new" negatives or positives I report on. You can't do that by cutting and pasting.
It is harder to cut and paste rather than reporting the snapshot you have observed. Different crews and different incidents and different volume flows affect the reports and make them different.
