What do you think of this? A question about asking for a bonus......

Today I received an email from the MSC who lists Robert Graham (an upscale men's clothing retailer) as a client. I was asked if I could do this shop for $20....Normally I would either accept or ignore, but this time I sent a reply email stating that i was very busy, and would have to juggle a lot around to accommodate this shop, but I would be glad to for $32. I also stated that if this doesn't suit, no hard feelings on my part.

What do you think? Not about whether or not I will get the $32 for the shop, but of my approach in general?

I do a fair amount of bonused shops and I think your approach is fair and reasonable. You've determined what your time and effort is worth and submitted it to the MSC. I hope they respond with a "yes" or "no".
I won't do that shop for less than $40. You are required to make a purchase and return of over $80. By the time you make the purchase, wait the required time, make the return and write up the shop, you've put some time in. Then, there is the whole thing about having to go to the mall (at least in my area) to do the shop. All that would not be the end of the world, but two of the three times I've done this shop, there have been issues with getting my money refunded. Once it took four days and three phone calls - after I had given back the shirt I had purchased.

Plus, their clothes are REALLY ugly. (IMO)

LOL. I did the same thing with the Tesla shop a MSC keeps pestering me about. The usual fee is $30, but their first text to me said they were negotiable. I explained politely that I had a full calendar and that it would be long commute for me; therefore, I would require $100 to accommodate their request. They came back saying that they were offering $60. I didn't respond. Mainly because I don't think test driving and going through the motions of wanting to purchase ANY car is worth less than $75. Today they text me again, as if we never had the first conversation and stated that they were offering $50. I again didn't respond. There are still of number of days left in December. If they want me bad enough they'll pay $100.

I only shoot for the stars when I don't really care if I get the shop or not. In this case I don't care, I know they'll be looking for someone again next month.

These particular shops are insulting. $30 and the joy of driving a Tesla doesn't equal fair compensation to me. Reminds me of the Jack shops. The have dinner on us mentality.

The same MSC that does Telsa and New Balance texts every other day looking for shoppers for these two in the Washington State area. I said I'd do Tesla for $80 and they paid the $80. I said I'd to the New Balance for $40 total and they paid it. As the month goes on they will pay. They have these shops every month.
My thought on this is very simple:

You GOTTA Look out for #1 or else you are #2. And we all know what #2 is
Sort of surprised that many are not yet offering the desperate bonuses. Do they not understand that they will pay quadruple or more after the 20th? I offered to do one yesterday that is not otherwise going to get picked up because I was going to be within an hour of the location. Made a reasonable offer and was told she had no authority to issue that sort of bonus. Her loss, and her company's. They must not have a completion bonus riding on getting it done.
