What about iPhone/Droid Apps for Sassie and other Mystery Shopping companies

Does anyone know what the status of creating Apps for shoppers to use on their smart phones? I think there is a real need for the apps with the increase of smart phone users. Let me kno ur thots!

Are you a developer, what kinds of apps do you have in mind? I agree it may be a good niche for someone to get into. One good app may be some kind of scheduling/organizational app. Something that would be able to pull all of your assignments from your accounts and help keep track of them for you. This is the hardest part for me. Something similar to JobSlinger Plus, but with the ability to get Prophet, Shopmetrics etc...
Of course the MSC would have to agree to cooperate. Anything that makes tasks for the shopper easier is going to have a benefit for the MSC. So you never know if they would consider getting something set up with them a pay-off later down the road. The app could keep track of the status of the jobs, receipt verification, your rating, payments etc, there are many possibilities....Now my mind is wandering, lol.

I do use a smart phone (HTC Evo 4G) and I love it. But I am not so sure I could ever do a report as quickly on my phone as I can sitting in front of a desktop.

No, I would never be able to do a report on a smart phone either. An app like that would not go over good, I don't think. Something to help me keep track of assignments would be of value though.

Entering reports probably would not be a good idea. The issue that I have now is that I cannot log on via my iPhone to any of the MS websites. Is this an issue that is specific to me/my iPhone. I would like to be able to log on the MS website and view and apply for shops. Can any of you log on via your smart phone and view/apply for shops?

I have not been able to get into any Prophet sites. Those are the only ones I have tried so far though.

@ AustinMom - What type of smart phone are you using to access the Prophet website? iPhone or Droid?

Sassie works perfectly on an iPhone. It's just a bear to enter a report unless it's a 3 question follow up survey or something like that.

You can hook a bluetooth keyboard up to it with the new OS so that may help. That certainly makes it less portable, though.

I've done Sassie sites on the droid. I usually go in and click all my yes/nos and then record my narratives onto my voice recorder. I probably don't even need to do that because there is probably an app for that on the phone! I know my phone has voice recognition so there is a possibility that I could literally fill in narratives if I knew how to dictate well.. lol.
