Felons Doing Mystery Shopping

I guarantee it's not Sybil, not her style at all. I have long suspected it's Shoptastic, however.

Jas; despite your 'stellar' medical qualifications. It seems you made the right choice when you decided
To work at the 'massage' joint instead of entering the medical profession. It seems you are more cut out for that kind of work.
Fixed it for you.

"But I don't think you should be making light of the serious problem of 'alcoholism'. Your comments are akin to mocking the disabled.

Alcoholism is a growing concern and charities and other organizations are trying to heighten awareness. When thoughtless people use such conditions as a form of abuse it just increases the stigma associated with such
conditions.

Equal rights for others does not mean fewer rights for you. It's not pie.

{color=davepi]I thought you were a funny troll but it seems you are entering the "rabid-flamer troll" which I am not a fan of. I prefer the Ken M style of trolling if you know who he is. [/color]

Thanks, Catnip. I was actually a massage therapy spa owner way back in the late 90s. It's within the last 15 years that I have been taking courses and obtained my degrees in the medical field. Anyway, MSing helped me achieve my goals and I graduated with a 4.0 GPA each time, of which I am quite proud. It's actually school that's been a hobby for me, as I don't need to do anything for income and will probably never go to work in those fields. After selling my florist shop that I owned and operated in the early 90s and then what I saved while owning the spa, I managed to accrue a tidy sum, which I invested in the stock market, so I am pretty well set for retirement. My husband makes a good income as well. Mystery shopping pays for vacations.

Now that I am no longer attending school, I get bored easily--which makes forum trolls an easy and fun target smiling smiley

It is not a bad thing. Irene is less mean when she is full of booze.
This is obviously a very young person.
I don't know her personally but I believe she rarely drinks more than a glass or two of anything. But if that's the recipe to get rid of sour, nasty behavior, maybe you need a cocktail.
MFJ, sorry, but the mods, much like Elvis, left the building a long time ago. The ship obviously sailed because there are plenty of transgressions that have occurred in the past few weeks that remain unmoderated. I hope that they prove me wrong.
1. A lack of moderation does not excuse poor behavior on anybody's part.
2. If we really are lacking mods, we should look to find a new one or two.....

You would be a good candidate, as you are reasonable and sensible to a fault. But like most reasonable people, would you want to devote your spare time to moderating this mess? Plus, aren't you are busy developing the frontal lobes and young minds of America?
On the show Cops, which I binged on a couple of weeks ago, they always take the one who threw the first punch to jail. I think that even MFJohnston knows that. Whether it's too dirty to defend yourself in a way that matches or beats the offender is discussed on the news daily. I've seen people on the news who get all upset and have an opinion on a woman defending her child from a pitbull because she shot it instead of just kicking it. I don't agree with people telling people that they cannot defend themselves. Never thought I would be involved in such a philosophical question on an internet forum about mystery shopping.
I taught middle school for fifteen years. When two children were in a name-calling match, we told both of them to "Grow up."

I've never moderated a forum and don't even know how I'd get started..... And, yes, my time is limited.... I spend more time here than I should as it is........

Good luck with that. Sadly, on this forum, moderators seem fair game for being mocked and abused. It is a largely thankless time consuming task.

Remember the moderators are volunteers so we should cut them some slack. They can't monitor everything 24-7.
I would suggest that the task would be much less time-consuming if folks would make a point not behaving like seventh graders. If we would all act like adults, we really shouldn't need much moderation at all.

You would contact JacobJ via PM and volunteer, if you had time to do so. I am sure he could use the help. Maybe in the summer if you aren't already crazy busy with summer school, tutoring, or spending time with family. Just sayin'.

Perhaps if certain moderators wouldn't abuse their access to seek out personal details of posters and then get caught doing it they wouldn't feel like moderators are mocked and abused. #JustSaying

Well, you can probably relate to this if you have been around 7th graders, MFJ. I put a sign on my back that said, "Kick me" and it worked. I'll try to refrain from here on out but not promising anything.

I don't think it is appropriate for anyone to PM the owner of a forum and ask to become a moderator. I am sure JacobJ is aware of who is naughty and who is nice on this forum. Eventually, the nice guys will receive an offer to become a moderator.

I am not implying that MFJohnston would or wouldn't be a good moderator by this post.
Well I guess you would know, eh? I was hoping you would bite the bait, now that "cat" is out of the bag, so to speak.

Oh my. I don't have words for the amount of irony is in this post.
