Maritz bundles? bids?

Newer mystery shopper here! I've just added Maritz to my list of companies and there are a good number of gas stations shops close to where I live. I'm not familiar with the bundle/bid system they have, can anyone give me some information about it? What kind of bids are accepted? What is the benefit? How does it work? Thanks!!

Maritz has a completely new website and this is something new for them, so we are all learning about it together.

Neat! I was tempted to put in a bid on a group of shops but after I realized many of them have the $5 darkness bonus, I would have bid lower than with that added. So I guess I definitely want to be familiar with the kind of shops/bonuses before I bid. Looking forward to what everyone else is figuring out there...
I'd make sure I was comfortable with a shop before bundling them anyhow.... I'd hate to be stuck with five shops that were simply not right for me or that I felt paid well less than what I felt they were worth.

MartizCX, though, is a great company.

Bidding is basically your way of haggling an offer to do work for them. If the lump sum bid you provide to them for the select projects selected meet their thresholds and budget, they’ll consider accepting it, or counter-offering with a lower offer to possibly meet halfway.

For what it’s worth, whenever I receive a call, I almost always place a bid to do the work (that goes with any MSC), unless I’m completely booked with no way to work and/or reschedule around it or out of the area completely. If it’ll be a big hassle to work it into my schedule, I place a high bid to always show interest; that way, if the high bid is accepted, the money will talk and I’ll reschedule and work around to adjust to the high bid projects accepted.

A good example was a request to travel my butt to a different state.... I placed a $2,000 to justify the 14-16 hour round trip drive or $600 plane ticket. Though they definitely denied my offer, I would’ve gladly done the work if my high bid was ever accepted.

Very infrequently shopping the Greater Denver Area, Colorado Springs and in-between in Colorado these days.

So I had a discussion about this new system with one of the supervisors the other day.
The old method of incentive requests included pulling together an email list of locations you wanted to work, adding in an incentive request for each, and then sending the requests off to the specific team's inbox. Incentive requests on locations that were not already incentivized were largely ignored.

Now you can make your request online, combine projects/clients, include non-premium (what they're calling incentives now) locations, and you'll get a response one way or the other.
Your likelihood of getting your request depends largely on your experience with Maritz and the clients. It also depends on where they are in the project timeline.

It's a good change, overall. I just wish I could see the request online after I make it so when I do get the call, I have something to look at while discussing it.

I realize that this involves extra time and effort but when I asked for incentives under the old system I would first map out the route and enter the distance, time, base pay and requested bonus into a pre-established formula which automatically calculates the income/expense ratio and hourly income. I then print it out and save it for reference. I do the same thing with the new system. The new system simply shows the total bonus requested whereas the old system would allow for different requests for different shops. In the old system I would ask for a higher bonus for a shop 80 miles distant than a shop on the projected route only 20 miles distant. Can't do that now but I'm sure I can work with it.
