Strip Club Shop Scam - BEWARE!

Deja Vu is once again recruiting shoppers for their strip clubs. I did 2 shops in August and have not been paid. I am out of pocket $300 plus the $50 fee. Do not accept any shops for Deja Vu.

Uhhh... Pretty sure that's not a real company.

I did a couple for a reputable company. There are legitimate shops out there for Gentleman’s Clubs.

I've never been to a strip club (well, once, but that was in my 20s), but how do you spend $300? I've heard another poster mention that MSC.

$300 sounds like an average night in a strip club to me.

Assuming you have a guest, cover costs as cheap as $10/person or as pricey as $50/person.

Then you likely have booze spending (unless you're at clubs with no alcohol), which is priced much higher than your typical bars. Or the club you're evaluating is sectioned off to 'no alcohol' and an alcohol section.

Then you may have food ordering requirements, where some of the entertainment clubs here surprisingly have tasting steaks.

Then you have your tips for the entertainers. I liked to make paper planes from my $1 tips and fly those planes at or through the entertainers like a game.

In all seriousness I think $300 would be pretty average. Well maybe not average but there would be plenty of people dropping that much in a strip club on a given night. Most strippers make a small percentage of their income from dollar bills stuck in their G-strings. I know one who once had a guy spend $800 at one time. I think special services were involved but not VERY special services, which was confusing to me because I would think one could spend less than that for a fairly high class escort and get very very special services but what do I know.

To keep it simple, the clubs with no alcohol allow their customers to see all holes, if that makes sense.

$1 tips? How about $20?

My most recent trip to an entertainment club, I had to hold back from this one specific entertainer that HAD to have a past with Cirque de Soleil, because she was THAT damn amazing. She got $5 worth of paper airplanes from me, but overall, she easy made $300 for those 15 minutes of acrobatic moves I witnessed.

That was possibly the most descriptive way you could have put that without getting banned lol

You are super cheap.
This job has a hefty fee and states that a lot of detail is required.
ETA: Must be a different company now, or the fee went up and the reimbursement went down.

If I was that cheap, I would’ve made it hail instead of making it rain.

I haven't spotted any club shops, but then again, I am a woman and they may just show up on mens job boards. There are, however, reputable sex toy shops. The pay is good for the shop criteria and I can always get things that aren't too obscene. Most people see those shops and think of all the larger, more risque sex toys in the place, but there are actually useful items to me such as massage oils, candles, and cute undies!

MegglesKat
Step 1: Advertise for strip club mystery shoppers. $300 reimbursement
Step 2: Tell everyone who applies to go to the club and spend $300
Step 3: Do Nothing
Step 4: Profit $$$$!!!!!

Did it cross anyone's mind that the ad may have been placed by club owners, management or employees? In other words, they are getting who knows how many people to come in and spend $300. Shady, sure, but that industry is known for questionable tactics.
As has been stated - Deja Vu is the name of a strip club on the west coast.

My ex husband used to do the shops all the time - the only shops he would do. No, this has nothing to do with why he is my ex.

At one point in time, the MSC was a very well known company that went bottom up and ended up leaving a number of shoppers with unpaid bills. I will avoid stating the name of the company as we are talking about the client as well.

When they went belly up and filed bankruptcy in 2008, another reputable company took the strip club shops over. It was a totally unaffiliated company I do believe. However, I have "heard" that the original owner of the now out of business company may be "back" under a new name - and I have to wonder if perhaps the pattern of non-payment is back?

If so - perhaps OP could start a new thread under the MSC companies forum with details on the non-paying company and leaving out the name of the client.

I used to do one adult shop store whenever my rotation came up, but I haven't seen them on the boards in a while. Mine were no reimbursement, though, so I never bought anything.
