Most misleading assignment you found?

I loved doing the Ross shops. This one particular time for a P & R shop, the cashier ripped up my receipt and threw it away. I asked for the receipt. Cashier says that they always threw away the receipts when returns are made for one item receipts. I said that I needed the receipt since I used my debit card and wanted to save the receipt in case the return did not get posted correctly. The cashier repeated what she said, I asked again. She reluctantly gave me my receipt. So now, I always use my debit card for the P & R shops and state that I need to save my receipt in case the return was not posted correctly.

I hate when the narratives don't state that there is a maximum character limit. I spend a lot of time getting all the details written just perfectly...and then I have to delete about half of it!

And sometimes the max. character count just doesn't give you enough to accurately describe the situation!

When this is the case I do the narrative in Word then copy/paste it to the site. This does 2 things: Allows me to save it so if the site messes up the narrative is not "eaten" and I lose all of my hard work...........Allows me to check Word Count so I know exactly where I stand on the character limit.

But sometimes the problem is, and I think that's what AnneAshley was referring to, when the survey doesn't tell you there's a character limit. If know ahead of time, I can do it in Word and edit the character count before I paste it to the report. Or, as with MarketForce's reports, they tell you the limit and once you've done enough of them, you pretty much know how not to exceed it. But I've done several shops where neither the guidelines nor the questionnaire indicate a character limit, and you go and write this detailed narrative, then get your response flagged for exceeding a character count you didn't know existed! Having to go back and edit and re-edit to meet the limit is frustrating and time consuming....

I hope he left the original charge on the bill, so the MSC sees that you ordered it!

I always take a photo of the sales receipt before I do the return portion. Never had them keep the original one, but you can't be too careful :-)

I as well did a Ross and upon my return, the mean cashier took my purchase receipt and gave me a return receipt not giving back my original and I asked. We have to upload both receipts, so i'm not getting paid. I did a lot of work and time spent on report. I was not able to control cashier who was rude the entire time. I'm ot getting paid anything, and also threw with MSC This is one of those easy jobs.....haha

I just re-sent my receipts and they both are clear...I told scheduler I expect to get paid, we'll see what we will see.
I'm not letting this go. This is not my first time out, it is a matter of principal.

Like I said earlier, I'm virtually positive you'll be okay. The guidelines specifically say that IF they keep the purchase receipt, just upload the return receipt to the first link. You do have to be sure to write down the receipt number from the purchase receipt before you do the return, just in case, but not having it to upload should not be a problem per the guidelines.

Has anyone used up the character limit for the sonic shop? 1500 character limit to describe the meal. I rarely need more than 120.
Mod note: Post removed as it breached the Forum guideline which states, "Do not reveal the clients of mystery shopping companies". Additionally, it is usually an ICA violation to name both the MSC and client.

I saw some shops at gas stations posted as “compliance audits” last week. In reading the details, they require you to “evaluate all the required areas” which includes gas signage and restroom.

So really, not only is it a compliance audit, but a gas station shop too. Even more insulting, the pay is $5.

What MSC does {deleted}?

If anyone answers your question, it will be an ICA violation and against the rules of this forum.
