Putting date on photos??

Is there a way to put time and date on photos besides using a computer? Any MS app’s out there that do it? I have an iPhone 6 Plus but can’t find a way to get date on a photo and there are some nice paying shops that want date and time so I’m looking for a way to do it. Appreciate any advice!! Thanks!

Isaiah58 is right...and many are free and easy to use.
I have an iPhone 6. I went into my settings and turned location services on. My photos show location, date and time on my end. I thought this was all that I needed to do, but am not extremely tech savvy. Am I wrong?

As long as the data is imposed on the image, you are fine. Some clients get picky if the data covers any important areas of the subject matter. Location may be overkill.

You need a date and time stamper from Google Play Store or the Apple store. Get a free one.
Isaiah58 and BirdyC, I’d love an app name if you have one of a free app as all the ones I found and tried; two and five respectively, were between $5-20 a month. Free for first week of course but don’t actually do anything unless you buy or upgrade so pretty high on the scam radar for saying free when they 100% are not! Of the two I tried before giving up, one you could not change color of ink; which was white, unless you paid for upgrade, and the other would not recognize new photos unless I turned my phone off and back on again. So it’s actually a pretty frustrating thing to try and do. If you know the name of one you use I’d be grateful as who knows I might have missed the best one!!

As for turning on location services—nope doesn’t add date or time.

And when viewing pics in photos old pics say the date but current week photos say something like; yesterday, today, Tuesday....so you can’t take a pic of the pic either.

I really appreciate all the suggestions as I would like to be able to do shops with this requirement. So Thank You All!!

??? Unfortunately it’s not that easy or free! They are pretty spendy. The ones I found all charged by the month from $4.99 to $19.99 and that didn’t include upgrades like being able to change ink from white to black!
This is the one I use and it is free. There are literally a TON more on google play store. Maybe I'm misunderstanding your post. If you need the date and time to show up on the front of your photo, on your photo, this app, on ones like it, is free.

I have an iPhone so I don’t think google play works for me. But thank you. I’ll see if it has a sister app in iPhone App Store. They usually do!! I found it on App Store it is $4.99 and I’ll just hope that’s a one time fee not a monthly one. Thanks!!

Why can't you go into details for the time stamp?

Here are two free ones. [itunes.apple.com]

There are some shops where, if you cannot get a business card, you can opt to take a photo with a date and time stamp on it.
Spicy1–I paid the $4.99 for the app and you can only ‘take’ photos while using the app-with a time stamp. You can’t add date stamp to photos or take a screenshot and add date to it. Seems I’m doomed. Wasted $5 and still can’t do it!! I’m just going to stay away from shops that require date stamp. Too much trouble.

Thank you to everyone for your suggestions!!
We do not photo shop pictures to add something like a Date Time stamp. None of us thought you were asking to edit a photo. For MS purposes, there are plenty of free camera apps that add the information when you take the picture. I am not going to explain how to photo shop as that is not ethical in our business in this situation.

I have an iPhone 6s. I purchased a photo date/time stamp app from the App Store called "Autostamper." I believe it cost me $2.99. That's it. No monthly fee. You can set the format for how you want the date and time to appear. It's very easy to use. Once you set it up, you just have to click on the app's icon first to open the app and then snap the picture. The date and time will appear in the lower left-hand corner of the pic. One time I had a problem, so I contacted their help department. The response was very quick and helpful. I was back in business in no time! I highly recommend this app for iPhones. The Autostamper icon is a red camera with a white clock where the lens should be.
Dandydew, thank you. I finally found this app you mentioned. There is two with practically the same name, same developer and same icon. So I bought the wrong one first. But now I finally have one!!

Thank you everyone! I really appreciate everyone’s positive feedback and assistance finding an app for me! It’s always so nice to see friendliness in action!

I don’t know what you are referring to—edit a photo—? In fact, I 100% resent you implying I would falsify something.

My intention was, is, and always has been to add the date a photo was taken to the photo not to alter or falsify something. I’ve never said anything of like that.
He's referring to your post that is right above his. It sure reads like you said you wanted to add the date/time after the photo had already been taken, yes it does. Doesn't it?
Download TimeStampCamera, it is free. I use it for some shops
Even if a timestamp is "required," I don't go to great lengths to get one. If the MSC really gets picky, I can screenshot the photo display in the iPhone album, which shows the time and date above the picture. Or, if I'm using Facebook Messenger to send myself the photos, I can screenshot that, too. So far, I haven't had any issues.
I have an iPhone 6. I use TimeStampIt and it was free.
So, you're doing work for MSC that are saying that you must have the date and time stamp on your pictures and you are turning in pictures without date and time stamps and they are accepted?

Why do I bother?
