STORM - "Gamified Micro-tasks" paid in cryptocurrency

Sorry for jumping on you hard. You kinda had the trifecta of troll posts- New member, topic barely relating to MS, multiple links. Take away one of those and it would have been easier to take your original post seriously.

Aggie,
I happen to be a long-time shopper (since 2005) who worked about $1200/mo, but now in the last 3 or so years have become a very part-time shopper (about $200/mo), who has also become interested in the whole cryptocurrency thing. Back a few months ago, there were many nights I stayed up till 3 am reading, reading, and reading some more, to try and understand this whole concept. I've gotten a limited understanding of the blockchain technology thing, and I agree with you....in another 10-15 years, that could be the way to go with currency. I ended up investing a small amount of money in several coins, namely, Ripple, Stellar, Verge, Digibyte, Doge and Reddcoin....all told, under $400.00.

If it catches on, I can see how companies may try to pay in cryptocurrency. I, for one, might be interested, depending on the crypto, the purpose/intent of the crypto, its history, whether it has a wallet that's easy to set up, what exchanges it can be traded on, and other factors. But yes, I'd be curious.....just saying.

We now have someone spamming the board about bitcoins. Coincidence or triggered because it is part of this subject line? Either way, annoying as hell.

I was not going to post again. But since you implied that this is me spamming bitcoin, I am going to defend myself. I have nothing to do with any spam. I am sure that a mod or the owner of this board can take one minute to see that it is not me.

Obviously someone has created a bot of some kind that searches message board for posts about bitcoin and posted that here. I am 57 years old. I am a former mystery shopper who noticed something I thought was interesting and wrote what I thought was an interesting post. I put links in it because I thought it would be helpful for anyone who wanted to look at information about what I was posting about.

Edit - By the way, I doubt anyone would actually use that bitcoin spam link, but don't do it. That is not how you buy any cryptocurrency. You can't buy cryptocurrency using PayPal.

Well, I don't know if it's because I use AdBlocker on my laptop, or if the mods got rid of the spamming, but fortunately, I haven't seen any today.

I personally find this an interesting topic, but do feel it would be more appropriate in General Chat. Mods???
Perhaps the OP should read my post again since the only thing I "implied" was exactly what she described. If the subject is triggering bots, it should be edited in a way to keep this from happening.

And don't assume nobody would use the link. We have people come her often because they have fallen for the mailed check scam. It makes the rest of us protective regarding potential scam links.

That is only too true!!!
Aggie, I am sure Lisa was not saying that you were spamming bitcoin. I did not get that impression at all. But, like she posted above, the subject line may very well be triggering bots.
