Is this company a scam?? Help!!

So I received a check for $2850 via USPS. No explanation-just a check. Got an email today asking for me to deposit check, spend $50 at gap. Then buy $2500 in ITunes gift cards. Seems really fishy. Said I can use gift cards to buy products for future mystery shopping assignments for Apple. Thoughts?

Scam. Scam. Scam. Scam.
Do NOT deposit the check. It will bounce, but not until after you have withdrawn the funds. You'll then be out the money you sent away, get hit the a fee from your bank for depositing a bad check and hammered with any overdraft fees that are caused by it.
