Hi
I am a fairly new shopper with 4 months of experience. Today I ran into a situation that has never happened before.
I was at a coffee shop and one of the requirements was to take a discreet photo of the main counter. Now with every photo I have taken in the.past I have always made sure that there is no people in the photos due to privacy. I set up to quickly snap a photo ensuring no one was in the shot. I took the photo and then the cashier came out and asked what was I doing? She stated that I cant take pictures in the store and phoned her manager. So I'm talking to the manager on the phone trying to talk my way out of the situation. So I told him that I was auditing the store and no photos of employees and customers were taken. He proceeded to ask me for my name and my number and the.company i work for.
Has anyone ever experienced this and does anyone know any legality behind this. Can they call the police on me?
Thanks
