Advice, please? Any compensation for contracting disease on a shop?

Carol, good news about your eye! Also about the reaction from Nordstrom's, but your eye is the most important thing! In regard to Nordstrom's, if it was truly an allergic reaction to the product itself, any recourse may ultimately lie with the manufacturer of the product, not the store.

Well, now this brings up a new question for me. If it was an allergice reaction to makeup which then became infected, what liability could the store or counter possibly have? Can they be expected to reimburse people for having a sensitivity to an ingredient in their makeup? I mean..if I bought some makeup and found out I was allergic to it I might see returning it (or trying to), but I don't think I'd consider the store or counter to be responsible for my visits to the doctor...

Not trying to play devil's advocate...just seriously wondering.
Well I have a message from the counter manager, head over all cosmetics. She says she really wants to talk with me. I'll keep ya posted. the chocolates that I see in our shop can always contain "traces of nuts' and I think we have to say that due to possible lawsuits.

Carol
