What is the max amount of shops you have done in one day?

Hi everyone! I just did my first shop today at a plaza near me. It was pretty easy and straight forward. The guidelines stated it should have taken 30 minutes to complete. I finished it in 20 minutes. With efficiency and ample time, completing over 10 shops in a day doesn't seem out of reach. What is the max amount of shops you have done in one day?

Fifteen, I think... I tend to do bigger shops, so I can only do so many in a day. I’ve done 6 EPMS apartments in a day......

Hard work builds character and homework is good for your soul.
I did 4 in one day last week and I was worn out to the point where I needed a nap. Looks like I need to build up stamina to keep up with you all.
When I am doing a round of convenience stores and post offices, I can do 15 shops quite easily in one day.
My all time best was 25, all with real narratives. Luckily, I had reporting requirements ranging from 2 to 3 days.

I also once did four in-person shops, each in a different non-contiguous state, on one day.

Certifiably crazy, all of you who have done 20 or more in one day!

Quite probably. But it depends on the interaction, the reporting requirements and the commuting requirements. Does one have to wait in a long line at a site or can one get in an out in a few minutes? Is the report strictly quantitative or does the MSC desire qualitative feedback and, if so, how detailed a narrative. How flexible is the MSC with narrative style? Does the MSC and its editor nick-pick or are they understanding? How quickly are the reports due? Are the shops far apart, nearby, or within walking distance within the same venue? Perhaps one completes shop reports for more than one MSC for the same shopper interaction (with their blessings, of course).

36. Good times with those projects.

Very infrequently shopping the Greater Denver Area, Colorado Springs and in-between in Colorado these days.
28 maybe? It was more than 15 years ago

I (used to) do between 10-20 a day routinely. Now I only do that many on weekends.
My record was 24 Bank shop and one hardware store starting at 9 in the morning and finishing at 6. I drove over 200 miles that day. I don't think I would do more than 18 Again.

Shopping up and down the Colorado Rocky Mountain front range.
Dang! I think I need a nap after seeing how many multiples were done by so many of you! My most was about eight but they were so easy. Think the Chase shops with no narratives.
14.
Try to keep it around 8-10 as a max. I want to have some time in the day after shopping and reports to do other things!
My most was 8 which I did on Friday. Postal and gas station. Couldn't see doing that many doing other types of shops.
My most on a gas station route in 1 day was 28, and they weren't that far apart, so less than 200 miles total. Submitting the reports was done the next day. Completing airport circuits, there were some days I could complete 36, and those were very short interactions, no sit down meals. However, I was able to visit 30 in an airport terminal in 1 day, and it took over 48 hours to write up all the narratives. I won't be doing that many in the future.

Argh - I'm such a wimp compared to you guys/gals! If I take more than 2 retail type shops in a day, my brain explodes. And if it's a biggie like a resort, casino, or amusement park - only ONE.

My all-time best has been 31 shops in one day, starting at dawn & finishing by sunset.

That is the definition of insanity!!!!!
Thank you everyone for sharing your experience! It's amazing to see how many shops can be performed in one day with an organized itinerary. Tuesday will be my first shot at doing a mutiple shop route. I'll be off from work and I'm looking forward to do atleast 10 shops, each in the $15-$25 range. Once I hone my organizational skills, I will attempt about 20 shops on my days off and 5-10 shops on the days I work.

Wow! I did 7 shops a few weeks ago and was exhausted at midnight struggling to complete the reports. Of course it was a very busy day for my kids, so didn't sit down to start them until 9PM. I swore I'd never do that many in one day, but looking at what you all have done makes me tired!
I did four last week. I did two that mornng, one at lunch, and one that afternoon.

Didn't start doing reports till after supper cause I had to take my car to shop to have it looked at. But got them all in on time smiling smiley

Yes I will do four again
When my kids were living at home, especially when they were very young, I did only a few per day while they were in school during the day (which is why I originally went for this line of work). When the kids get older and learn how to drive you get more free time to do shops, and now mine are all grown up. You'll find that many shoppers who do a lot of shops have empty nests or perhaps shared parenting with exes, or even just have only a few older kids at home who are pretty self-sufficient.

I think it was 5? Many years ago with two of my DD's. All at the same mall. They had loads of fun and so did I until it came to do the reports. Thanks Mom! Never again.
Define "shop". When I'm doing debit card placements or quick pricing audits I'll easily do 30 in a day, sometimes 50 if the time and distance work out well enough. If it's other stuff, like food, 2 or 3, and then layer other stuff in between like movie standees, parking etc etc etc
"How many" shops you can do really depends on the type of shop. There is a huge difference between doing a dozen unrevealed gas station shops and doing a dozen car dealerships or written apartment shops.

While planning a big day of shopping, be sure you:
* Plan your route starting at the furthest location from home, if possible. (If your timing is off and you miss a shop, you want it to be the visit just down the street, not the one 50 miles away.)
* Estimate how long you are going to spend inside each location.
* Map the driving times between each location - be sure to account for potential traffic delays.
* Build in extra time - something will go sideways if you are doing 10 shops.
* Make sure you will have time to do all your reports after the shops.

Hard work builds character and homework is good for your soul.
Back to normal, 5 shops (cosmetics) two in one store and two in the retail next door and lunch 2 blks away....
Can't do the reports anymore, and the shops are gone along with the MSC....nowadays it's about 4 a week.

Live consciously....
