Editing vs Scheduling

I live in a semi rural are where, if you drive 15 minutes in any direction you're either surrounded by horse ranches, cow farms, mountains, or desert. Most of the local shops are age compliance, theater, grocery, or fast food shops. I'm a stay at home mom and I'm the caregiver for both my parents. My kids are teens now, so I have a lot more time on my hands. Mystery shopping is a lot of fun, but most of the shops require out of pocket expenses, and that adds up. I've been applying for editor and scheduler positions in hopes of boosting the income, but I'm not really sure which would suit me better. If anyone is willing to share the pros and cons, it would help me decide which I prefer. Thanks in advance for the help.

SoCalMama posted in a different thread that she had done both and preferred scheduling over editing.

I was an editor for two different MSCs and I hated it both times after a couple of months. It snows a lot here so it was fine for January and February, but, I have a lot more shopping options in my area and there is more money to be made out of the house when the weather gets warmer.

I wish you luck.
