MOD Pizza

With 30 people in line, the timings definitely would be much different then most timings but i would have reported exactly what i measured and observed. As long as i report what exactly happened then i would expect to get paid.

I finally saw the prices on the website (duh). The pizza requirement is $8 and some change.

I just did my first MOD Pizza. I came in a little under the reimbursement. The pizza was delicious. The report was extremely easy to input very little narrative. I definitely would do it again.
Most of the time this shop isn't a moneymaker but if you like the pizza and a little writing, it's an ok shop to do.
This will be my first time having their pizza. It's close to home, and I will have lunch for tomorrow.

The pizza isn't heavy and i could eat the whole pizza easily. These shops aren't too difficult, just be observant.
Thanks 7!

My shop hit a major SNAFU. The card machine was not working. I had a small amount of cash on me, but not enough to cover the bill. I gave the cashier the cash that I had, and she gave me a receipt for a mini pizza.

I let the scheduler know what happened, but of course she was gone for the weekend.

The pizza was delicious. I got chicken and roasted garlic.

I don't think the scheduler will respond until monday and even then she may defer to the editor. But i think you report exactly what happened and imo the shop should be approved. As long as u followed all the shop instructions and took the picture. Hope it works out for you.
The competition for Mod (Blaze) just raised their prices so today at my shop I was over the reimbursement amt with a pizza and a soda. Not by much but this job is too much work to go out of pocket for me. So either nothing with my pizza or I have to wait for a bonus.
I definitely would not do the shop if I have to pay out of pocket unless it was outstanding food or I was going to go there anyway. The msc needs to increase the reimbursement fee to cover the shopper costs. It was good that MF raised the reimbursement fee earlier this year to cover the shop costs for a decent meal.
Good to know, pegleg2000. I last shopped MOD a year or more ago. The report was not difficult, but was ridiculously long, given the flat fee that left only cents in my pocket. I like the pizza, but am not a fan of reimbursement only shops.

I sent her an email letting her know what happened right after the shop. She replied the next day and said I was fine because everything was documented in my report.

I've done MOD and Blaze shops. The MOD narrative is much easier, but I liked the Blaze pizza better.

I honestly couldn't detect any difference. The Blaze report took me at least 30 minutes, while the Mod report takes about 10. The Blaze shops will get a decent $15-20 bonus on top of reimbursement, but you have a long "cool off" time between shops.
We have so many Blaze Pizza places in my area I can do almost 2 weekly and still have a month span per location. I have a lot of their pizza in my freezer.

You should notify the MSC for Blaze about the issue. They may not care, but typically if the required purchase items (pizza and drink) are above the reimbursement limit, this is not supposed to be how it works. Now, if they say you should have bought a cheaper pizza (simple pie) to stay under the limit, then you know for the future.
Or shoppers will see the reimbursement as a coupon on their meal.

I did let them know. Actually they do not require a drink. They told me the (paid) drink is not required as you can just ask for a free cup for water. I usually get a brownie which is less expensive than a drink but i was thirsty this month....they advertise this job as they are giving you a generous $12 limit and they seem to infer there is enough money to get something else....I have no interest in doing this job for the one item pizza and I doubt many others would. At this point it is over by less than a dollar with a soda. But if the reimbursement does not go up a dollar I will not do it for the reimbursement unless I get a bonus....I can wait. Too bad cause i love their pizza but this is not a no brainer job so I need to have my brownie too and all my toppings to make it worthwhile.
And I am pretty sure the other location I shop has a different price structure so theirs may still be under. I will find out next time.
Does anyone know the rotation for MOD?

"I told myself to quit you; but I don't listen to drunks." -Chris Stapleton
You can go to each location's website and start a online order to see the cost of each item. Most of these types of places, the pizza tastes similar to me. For me personally, if it wasn't for the mystery shopping i wouldn't eat at these types of places. It definitely has to cover the cost of the meal.
The rotation may be less if you ask the scheduler to assign it to you. Of course, you have to be reliable and dependable shopper with a five star rating in order to bypass the rotation time.
That Blaze report was too long. It also asks for each of the associate's name. Those associates wear their name tags on the side of their caps and it is small sized. The MOD associates do not wear name tags.

On my Blaze, I just reported that I could not read the name tags. My report was accepted.
That works for me!

I don't see bonuses for any of this MSC's shops.
