Router MS shop

Has anyone done one of these? It requires a selfie video report out. I am wondering what the report looks like and if the video replaces written questions in the report or whether it's in addition to these questions. TIA!

I just came here because I was about to ask the exact same thing when I saw that. I honestly have an issue with doing a project that requires a "selfie" video -- the example almost plays off as a social media review. Doesn't anyone else think that doing a selfie sort of takes the "mystery" out of mystery shopping? About as far as I will go with revealing myself like that is when I've done a few "We have a new display -- take a video of you walking up to it and give us your thoughts as your check it out" which are all behind the camera. I don't even understand the purpose of such a video...
Yep. This is a big no-no shop. Do they not trust the shopper to write what the shopper would, on video, say? In the least, I would expect to be paid at SAG minimum.
I hope that this will not turn into a regular requirement for future shops. What a turn off. For one, I cannot think on the spot when doing a self video. I'm more like the deer in the headlights/stage fright kind of person. I think better when I can take my time to gather my thoughts. How many takes would it take to do the self video? Don't forget that you probably need to check your video to make sure it took properly.
This one raised an eye brow for sure. I'm thinking if they want me to answer 80 + questions and, and take all sorts of pictures, and a video of me sounding like an idiot, surely this is a premium $$ shop - Nope! No thanks on this $13 joke.
Ok, so I am glad I am not alone. I don't mind the selfie video if it saves in report writing time (although it looks like you can't load it on the mobile app- so another step added), but this doesn't seem to be the case. I agree with the low price. If it was JUST the photos (audit) or JUST the interaction, then I may try it for the offering price, but both AND the video makes me suspicious.
for $13, several pictures, selfie video and a report? NO THANKS! You will be pretty much outing yourself. I cant imagine the client(store) not getting to see the video, and then you can fuggedabout doing shops at that location. I dont know who came up with this brilliant idea to do the selfie video.
I just saw the requirement and came here right away. I see someone beat me to it. The shop was interesting to me because I am searching for a new one of these products and so, I would definitely love to get some advice about them. But a selfie video? Not a chance. I see that they are flying off the board. LOL.
Pictures, video, and questions to boot for $13? No thanks.

There are 3 kinds of lies. Lies, Damn lies, and statistics.
$13 doesn't even cover the trip to the store and reading the guidelines, much less the report and video. The nerve! They've done this before and all the shops in my area were completed. Some people have nothing better to do or want to be famous. Is there a disclaimer that they will not use this video publicly? Uh, no.
Looks like they dropped the selfie requirement. Still not excited to pick these up.
I agree.

It’s still required in my area.
Well they dropped the silly selfie requirement and I did one of these. Not too bad. Retail store help is poor these days and bad associate make for real easy reporting.
The pay is too low for the work that they want to have done imo.

Motivation increases when we assume large responsibilities with a short deadline.
I have a feeling that there is an excellent chance that one would be identified as a mystery shopper if one made a video. I am certain it would be shown to the store employees who will remember the person especially if the review is a negative one. Also, there seems to be a required test. Then we have to take a few pictures. Pay is too low. They are all still available where I live.
I don't think that the client asked for the video. This is based on the fact that the $15 shops for the Pink/Purple phone carrier also required them. This was the ones a few weeks ago when you had to go in on a Tuesday and ask for whatever free gift they were offering customers that day. Both shops seem to have no connection to one another yet they required a selfie video

This looks like a case of the MSC offering this option to their clients

I won't be doing any more jobs that require this selfie video. It seems like the MSC has added this requirement on their own. This is like when EPMS added that last page of questions and people complained about it here. Someone from the company came here said that the client asks for whatever information we have to fill out on the report, but I find it hard to believe that every single client across the board suddenly asked shoppers for that last page (the one with the stars)
I won't be doing any selfies for any shop. Too risky. These are at stores I shop alot, and I cannot afford to have my video out there. They are still sitting on the job board for my area with selfie video still required.
