I have no objection to working on Sundays. I have completed shops on Sundays. Sunday is the only night that I can devote to a hotel shop.
At one of my jobs, it is important to remember that all people do not elevate, celebrate, or otherwise honor Sunday. For many people, it is a day off, a work day, or something else. We want as many opinions from as many people as we can get, so when we are challenged, we tell people that we respect their beliefs and practices regarding Sundays. Some people do not like this, and they argue in favor of Sunday off for everyone. This is fine. They think and believe as they want to. We conduct our business as we need to. All is well.
So, I work on Sundays when this is permitted and/or when I am available to do so.
My garden in England is full of eating-out places, for heat waves, warm September evenings, or lunch on a chilly Christmas morning. (Mary Quant)
