Hotel Integrity Audits

Hi everyone,

I'm hoping an experienced hotel shopper out there might be willing to share some insight into how the integrity audits work. I have completed many standard hotel shops but none of these audits. I have read the standard instructions that the MSC offers on the job board and still have a couple of questions:

1) When making purchases is the shopper allowed to purchase for a guest as well as themselves? In a standard hotel shop it is generally made clear that a guest is or is not permitted and the money allotted for each interaction is adjusted accordingly. How does it work for these audits?

2) If a particular resort property has a golf course, is a round of golf typically one of the required transactions? The integrity audits I have seen are either 1,2, or 3 night stays. It would seem to me that a one night stay would not include golf but a 2 or 3 night job might. The reason for my question is that I do not golf and have no desire to make a fool of myself out on the course. I would steer clear of these assignments if they require playing a round of golf.

Any information would be appreciated.

It depends on the MSC.
I do lots of integrity audits that pay for travel and expenses for 2 people. Some (most) just pay for one.
The intense integrity assignments from Regal generally pay for 1 guest. They do not generally include golf (that I have seen) as the entire purpose of the shop is in cash handling.

Edited to add not to the last sentence. Which significantly changes the meaning. Oooops.

I know bgriffin usually flies solo, but I recall doing more than one with a guest. I think that I got 2 drinks x 2 rounds and 2 meals everywhere???
And I have done those for one person. I lucked out; there was a terrible storm and the pool and pool bar were closed. I was still scrambling to get in all of the food and drink stops remaining for a 2 night stay,

I realize my post was misleading. I meant shopper plus 1 guest. I have done them with a guest.

I did a 2 night stay and had no trouble getting them all in and a full day of sightseeing. However, I am not much of a drinker so most of it went down the drain.

@bgriffin is a lightweight, whereas I look at it as a challenge. smiling smiley
II audits are generally considered a bit easier than the standard evals because you're mostly repeating the same thing over and over. They're 100% narrative though, which I consider easier than a million check off boxes and making sure you're commenting on every 'no' response.

Thanks for the info. My wife is currently planning a business trip to an area in which Regal usually has several very nice properties that offer either standard shops or the intense integrity audits. I was thinking about joining her and adding a couple of extra days to the trip to include one of these locations but did not want to get in over my head.

When in doubt, it's best to ask the MSC directly for the most accurate information. smiling smiley

Most Regal Hospitality Group (RHG) shops allow two adults. When a client restricts the shop to one adult only, this information is posted with the shop so that shoppers are aware before applying/accepting.

Golf is sometimes optional. Again, look at the information posted with the shop or ask the MSC.
