What was your highest paying shop?

I have done ms in the health insurance industry going to seminars and after doing 5 or 6 of them I changed my insurance. I instantly saved $300 a month (husband & I). So I would have to say that the seminars $25.00 each for l hr plus reporting and $300 a month was the best of the best for me.

I did a shop that was for a veterinary visit. It was an extensive report, but they paid $25 plus reimbursed $100 of the charges! Also, this summer I did one that was bonused 3 times over for a bank and was paid $100. Both really nice shops.
I've done the Vet jobs too and am waiting for the next visit for my two chihuahuas. They need their shots in Dec/Jan so hopefully I will get the chance to do them. One of the vets is my current veterinarian.
$300 for a mortgage shop.

Highest reimbursement was about $900, plus a ton of frequent sleep points, for a hotel and fine dining combo.

Based in MD, near DC
Shopping from the Carolinas to New York
Have video cam; will travel

Poor customer service? Don't get mad; get video.
The highest paying single shop was $550 for a fake loan shop.

Her Serene Majesty, Cettie - Goat Queen of Zoltar, Sublime Empress of Her Caprine Domain
$675 for a hotel... although I also did a series of four hotels for $1600 so if we count it as one then that wins.

If we include reimbursements - then around 10K for one shop.

380.00 for driving around taking pictures of beer billboards. Due to laws here in VA there are no billboards for liquor. Got paid anyways.Sweet.
I'm going to say $140.00 for a merchandising job..for MSing $35.00 would be it.

edited to add...I forgot I once got a free $80.00 bottle of Chanel perfume.

Probably about 1000 hotel reimbursement for 2 nights plus 150 pay and travel expenses. I've had lots of expensive things reimbursed.

I don't count reimbursements, after all its your money being used....so, restaurants and hotels would not be on my list of most expensive jobs.

I certainly consider these plum shops, but when someone asks my highest *paying*, I am with you. I would not answer with a reimbursement shop, either. I love these though. I love to be pampered on someone else's money.

My highest *paying* shop is $150 for an investment banker. My second highest is this weekend, two shops at $80 each for a foreign watch company. Between $45-70 is offered fairly frequently for certain kinds of shops I do. And then I get the $10 cheap ones, just like every other shopper in the world.
Hotels often pay high fees in addition to reimbursements. My figure of $675 is the fee and doesn't include reimbursements although granted it was four years ago and before the economy nose dived.

Edited because I wrote from my telephone and apparently cannot see typos or something.

Do you guys like the Vet shop?
I hear mixed things about it, not really about the shop, but about the Vets.
I know it's an unfair question, since there's good and bad in every industry, but I remember reading several posts regarding huge bills due to diagnostic tests; the Vet thinks there's a problem ergo tests.

Even if you know it's an up-sell, I bet it's hard to turn down a test after hearing your family pet may have ( insert disease).

As far as the Bank Shops:
I have a ton of offers from various companies. I bank at a well shopped bank.
I've yet to put my toe into the Bank Shops, but I think I'm ready.
Of all the MSC's who offer - which shop is your favorite.

Ooh, can you answer that since you're not mentioning the actual bank?
If so, there's about 4-5 companies from memory. All around $15, but with very different guidelines.

Highest Shop?
None of mine are all that high, but the bonuses can make for a nice paying shop.
I love Holidays; seems like there's always shoppers backing out at the last second, and my hand is the highest when it comes to sneaking out for a few hours.
Hey, it's win-win...the host always needs something...might as well make a buck at the same time...right.

So, if any MSC's are reading....I'm at the MIL for Thanksgiving and XMas Day. Wouldn't take that much of a bonus to get me to bolt for a while.
Can someone pm me with the names of the companies used for your shopping? I live in the Houston area and am in need of a variety of shops. I have signed up with several mystery shopping companies that don't offer shops in this area. Thanks.
Check the first post of the first thread of the Mystery Shopping Company Discussion section of the forum for the names of more than 200 legitimate companies. Unfortunately the only way you know if they have shops in your area is to sign up and watch their job boards. But there will be a lot of changes after the beginning of the year as clients move from one company to another. You can also sign up (free) at jobslinger.com, put in your zip code and find shops within a radius you define of your home. While the jobs listed are likely to have been taken already, it does let you know some of the companies who have clients in your area.

Keep signing up and checking the job boards and I am sure up will start seeing the jobs. With most companies, the first part of the month is the busiest. You never know when a company will post jobs in your area and if you are signed up you will be ready. I'm signed up with over 100 companies but usually work with only about 20 regularly.
The vet shops by all means $100 reimbursement + $25.00 to write the report up. There are several restaurants where I've been reimbursed up to $100 plus a small fee to write up the report. Sushi Zushi, Benihana.

I've been doing a lot of Medicare Advantage shops. If you look around you will find that they pay from $15.00 on up. Trendsource offers something called a PAD where you can request additional amounts for traffic and distance. I asked for $50.00 extra for a few and they have actually paid this extra amount...so it can be close to $80.00...esp. if no one else wants to do it.
