Has anyone done the chicken shop where you get a package with game pieces?

Geesh, on Google Maps I ran a Fedex search. Identified many acceptable locations all over my route that day. Fortunately a main FedEx location is a mile from my house. I even redirected the original packet there.

I find the argument by the OP more of a sour grapes position. The more rural one is, the more travel and effort involved for everything in their lives.

As for payment: there are tons of discussions here about reimbursement only shops, this one pays a fee plus reimbursement. The report is simplistic. The interactions with a manager are as simple as it gets, regardless of the results. If you act professionally, the manager follows your instructions and fills the form out. For my failed shop, the manager wrote down one of the associates as the cashier even though she was. I reminded her once that she took my order, she ignored me. I addressed this on my report, rather than worry about it and be confrontational.

I appreciate the different points of view here. I wish I could find all those better paying food shops that require less work in my area.

READ my post AGAIN!!!! I went to Stables as directed by the guidelines. They REFUSED the package. There was nothing wrong with the shop, except for the low pay, and Staples not accepting the package. Way too much running around for the low pay. If you like getting slave wages, go for it. I'll stick to the higher wages and easy to do shops.

The directions do not say to go to Staples. The directions say that they MAY take it at Staples.

OP does not do well with following rules or directions. I'm not sure why he is screaming at everyone else? Slow day there I guess?

I dropped mine off at Fed Ex Office, since they take Fed Ex Ground. Took less than 30 seconds in total.

Where did you ready anywhere in the guidelines the word "MAY"? Your reading comprehension is really bad. You're so against anything I say, you make up things.
DO NOT CALL FEDEX FOR PICK UP OR SHIP FROM YOUR PLACE OF EMPLOYMENT OR HOME. DO NOT DROP PACKAGE IN A FEDEX DROP BOX. These types of return methods are considered a “pickup” by FedEx and they charge for this service. We will in turn deduct that charge from your shopper fee. All packages must be taken to a shipping outlet where FedEx picks up. (Staples, Office Max, FedEx shipping center, etc.) • If you have questions about your package, please email fulfillment@conferoinc.com

I took one of these and the location was closed. They paid me a $5 attempt fee. The location was a half a mile from me on my bike trail so it was no inconvenience. I don't eat the food but would have offered it to the concierge in my building. They mail out packages so I just dropped off the prize package at the front desk
All packages must be taken to a shipping outlet where FedEx picks up. (Staples, Office Max, FedEx shipping center, etc.) I took it to Staples as directed. They refused to take the package. I was told they ONLY take Express packages. There is NOTHING in the guidelines about this. If you do this shop, you take your chances that the drop off point might not accept it.
John you weren't instructed to go to Staples, you were given Staples as an example of where you MAY be able to drop off the item.

Why not just go to a FedEX dropbox?

One more time....read the instructions....."All packages MUST be taken to a shipping outlet where FedEx picks up. (STAPLES, Office Max, FedEx shipping center, etc.)"....where does it say "MAY"? I see "MUST", but no "MAY"
Actually, if you read the one page prize return page that was supposed to be included with the extra prizes when they were returned by Fed Ex Ground, the statement is on the top right side of the page.

So, there were 100’s of locations and only John can’t figure this out?

Yes I did, easy shop.

It would have been easier if Staples had taken the package. Not a shop I would ever do again. Like I've been saying, there are other fast food shops that pay more and are much less work. As one poster also said, going in and telling the employees they FAILED, is something the mystery shopper shouldn't have to do.

It's very clear that the term is "Unsuccessful."
I agree. You should not do this job ever again.

You have terrible comprehension skills.

Guess what? I took mine down stairs to the lobby of my building and Fedex picked it up. And it was on my way out to walk my dog. No inconvenience for me.
Where does it tell you to leave at the lobby of your building? It list the places to drop it off. I don't see the word LOBBY. By the way, not everyone lives in a place with a lobby.
It's incredible the lack of reading comprehension by some on here. The guidelines said STAPLES. I went to STAPLES. They refused the package. The shop ends there. What don't you understand? LOL.

It's really hard to get through to people who lack reading comprehension and fall in line with SoCal. LOL.
Staples is affiliated with UPS. Since the MSC is not mentioning using a specific carrier, the instructions are generic in nature. I understood immediately that my drop off selections would be limited based on the carrier they utilized.

I have accounts with FedEx, UPS and USPS. When my FedEx account alerted me to the scheduled shipment, I diverted it to one of the authorized local pickup centers I was presented with to choose from.

My point here is, Staples is not listed as a choice to pick up or drop packages off at. The instructions are clear to not use drop boxes or locations that incure an additional cost.

It is like driving by a McDonalds and asking them to fix a problem with a Burger King order, just because they sell burgers, because it is inconvenient to turn around and go back to Burger King.

It's a pick up location. I don't need someone to tell me to use my brain. :confused smileyhrugs::

I guess what we all don't understand is why you can't find a Fed Ex Ground location in the Inland Empire, somewhere near the trailer park (that doesn't not have a lobby)?
Let's analyze this one part of the instructions that the OP is fixated upon:

"All packages must be taken to a shipping outlet where FedEx picks up. (Staples, Office Max, FedEx shipping center, etc.) •"

The assumption here was that all Staples locations are in play. My assumption was we were to identify a local FedEx pick up center, being provided examples (including "etc.."winking smiley of what that may look like. A quick inquiry using the Fedex website or app allowed me to identify the available pick up locations. The local Staples stores do not show up.

It is unfortunate that you live in an area that FedEx has not saturated with local manned drop of locations where their trucks pick up from on their daily routes.

"The assumption here was that all Staples locations are in play" That should have been made clear in the guidelines. The shop does not say anything about searching the internet for a drop off location. This makes the shop less likely for any shopper to do. They don't pay enough. As I've said before, I have many other fast food shops in my area, that pay better and there a lot less work to them. For all the requirements for this shop, they should be paying shoppers $20 or more.
