I am a newbie and just completed my first assignment

Before electing to do another I have 2 questions. If I elect Paypal, will company automatically deposit to PP? What is a normal payout time frame? Also looks like I got a rating of 7 what exactly does that mean?

Yes, if you choose PayPal, that's how you are paid. It's the payment method of preference for many shoppers. Payout time depends on the MSC. I am signed up with about 100 companies. There are a few that pay within a few weeks and some within a few months. Usually that information is on the company's website. You got a 7 on a scale of 1-10. That means there were several errors on your report (usually grammar and spelling errors) and there are other circumstances that could affect rating (like not submitting the report on time).
Hi there jbstrig.
I am pretty new to all this as well but I will offer what I know. Once your job has been completed and accepted by the company the money will be deposited in your account on the companies payday. You should be able to go into the company's webpage that you did the job for and someplace in there pay will be explained. Every company is different. Once your job was sent to editing they would have reviewed your evaluation and graded it. The editor should have sent you an email explaining what you did wrong to not receive a score of 10. Look in your junk folder if you have not seen this email.
I hope this helps a bit.
Congratulations on your first job.

Every thing the other posters told you is correct.
Oh my goodness, I check and recheck the grammar and spelling. Guess I will have to be more careful.
One tip I can give is that editors like simple sentences (avoid compound sentences) as it's easier for the client to read, and make sure that you give a comment on all "no" questions. It's best to try to write concise sentences in chronological order, telling a story, but avoid flowery adjectives and keep it simple.

Do you have a spell-checker? I use Google Chrome as my browser and it underlines misspelled words in red when I make typos.

Don't worry about getting a 7 score. That should not stop you from getting more shops and you will still get paid. Just keep at it and you will get the hang of it!
I got a 7 on my first shop too! Congrats! I did bad but the report formatting was confusing. I just have to recognize it now. But the next shop I got a 9! Moving up in the world...
@jbstrig

These 3 companies have somewhat low fees but really great for newbies..

Marketforce
Secondtonone
Very short narratives required

I really like Intellishop alot even though they get alot negative feedback from other shoppers on here. I think Intellishop really helps with figuring out how to go about writing a narrative but not to a ridicolous amount when compared to other mscs

Shopping Idaho and Oregon/Idaho border region.
Microsoft Word or Office is great for editing your shops.

True! But if you don't have/don't want to buy/can't afford Word or Office, you can download Open Office for FREE! Compatible with Word files.
I use the Grammarly Chrome extension, it really helps a lot with spelling, grammar and punctuation.
Answer all questions yes and no questions in the order on the report. A 7 is not a bad report, maybe you didn't answer all of the questions, grammar, spelling, could be anything. When I first started I wanted to know why I got a 7 so that I could correct any mistakes I made. Some companies will let you know if you ask, be sure to tell them you want to know so that you can improve. Lots of companies have spell check. Important, SAVE your work after each narrative, SAVE, SAVE. Always SAVE before you download any pictures or receipts just in case.
