Worth Getting Data Plan to Do More Shops - Revisited

I asked this question a couple of years ago, but it seems data plan expenses may be lower these days and possibly phone app shops may be in greater abundance, so I thought I'd try again.

For those who have phone data plans (I have a pre-paid plan with no data), do you feel it is worth the cost to do more phone app shops. I have lots of questions for people who are knowledgeable and have experience in this area:

1.) What percentage of shops do you think are phone app shops nowadays?
2.) What do these shops tend to pay? I bet there's a lot of variation, so I'd actually love to hear the range of fees and project types.
3.) Are these shops really that easy?! I here you just go in and perform a shop and walk out and do a quick multiple-choice survey and viola - you're done! No narratives?
4.) What data plan level do you feel you'd need to have enough data to do these shops regularly to make money? Would $40/month phone plan with data be enough? $50/month? $100/month?

TYVM in advance!

Awww shopsypoo. I'm just yanking your chain a little bit. That could hardly be labelled an "attack" or bullying. It was a dumb question (even I ask those sometimes!). Who cares what percentage of shops are on apps? A much better question is how many shops are there? Also I'm the most suburban non-ganglike person in the world so the whole gang thing is humorous.

Also I have never reported a single post of yours and I'm not sure why you think I have.

Can we PUL-EEZE get back to the original topic? I'd actually like to have people weigh in on the answers to the questions! :-)

I do gas station audits on the app. It is so worth using data plane time because when I leave the station it is totally input. I have never gone ovet my max.
Have you received any reasonable advise for this topic? The thread looks pretty jammed up, if you haven't let me know. I will give you some. smiling smiley
Cheers.

2GB Data...minimum. A lot of prepaid plans include at least 2GB. Nowadays I can't imagine having no data. It's crippling.
Oh, so many companies -- like Marketforce, Ipsos, Maritz -- have enabled apps that let us shoppers input in real time! And then there's the companies that have ONLY apps, like Field Agent. Oh, yes, definitely worth it.

I'm with Verizon. I get unlimited text/talk and 3G data for a total of $43.50 per month. I never use all the data, and the plan allows me to roll over unused into the following month.

I am not familiar with what other providers offer.

A fellow shopper offered to put me on her phone plan with Verizon with unlimited data -- but I've read horror stories of deactivated shoppers, and every one on their phone plan is also deactivated, so I wouldn't let her put me on her plan.

I must be missing something. How can you possibly use all of your data if it's unlimited? And why would you need to roll over any unused unlimited data if you get unlimited data?

Yes, sorry if I was not clear. Unlimited text/talk, 3G data.

I do STRIVE for clarity (and perfection!), but evidently I'm human, like every one else!

3G Data and 3GB of data are 2 entirely different things. 3G is a data speed and 3GB is an amount.

Edited to add:
I read the post as unlimited amounts of 3G data.

OK, how many times do I have to admit I'm a tech dinosaur? It's 3GB.

I have no idea how fast it is -- but evidently faster than the computers that managed to put a man on the moon in 1969!
