I have a similar situation. I remember YEARS AGO when I was making trips across the state every week to visit my dying Granny. I was going through some remote areas that don't get shopped often and I was fine with picking up a shop or two to offset travel costs; stretch my legs, etc.
So each week, a scheduler would ask me to pick up one or two from the job board. One week, I told Scheduler that I had decided that I was going to drive straight through, as things were progressing quickly for my Granny.
**NOTE: I had NOT picked up any shops for that week; I was NOT "declining" or "flaking," I was just telling Scheduler that I would prefer to drive straight through that particular week...and maybe in ensuing weeks...
That Scheduler got sooo mad at me!!
After a snotty email from Scheduler, I got deactivated; after doing shops that I got a "10" on for weeks.
That kind of thing really leaves a sour taste in a shopper's mouth. I decided to stop shopping at that point and didn't pick it up again for several years.
Now that I've picked it up again, I see that same Scheduler on some of the boards and I will not pick up shops Scheduled/offered by that person.

That is the right way to do it. State your situation, don't name names and don't work with the scheduler again.

I was agreeing with MF, but trying to put what others were saying in with that, in a concise way. I think some people felt that they were being told not to vent out of anger or frustration. It's OK to do that, as long as names aren't named, as I said and what I think MF was also saying.
"Venting" isn't the same as throwing a foot-stomping tantrum, cussing, and behaving unprofessionally.

Yes, I agree....and then on this forum, when schedulers visit, they see stuff like this and know that we may (or may not) be sharing information among each other in private, and maybe it will curtail some of that behavior. They may also have a new understanding as to why certain shoppers pick up all sorts of jobs offered on a job board...but never theirs....
Again, I know that it's not just schedulers/editors who behave badly. Shoppers have their fair share of unscrupulous antics, as well

I agree. Just for perspective, a few years ago there was discussion about the changes to reporting for a large faux-Mex chain. The discussion included high sodium levels. I contributed to the discussion, in a non-offensive way -- I mentioned that I had to cut back on my sodium, and that for me, the new reporting might make it not worth it, considering my inability to eat all of my meal, and I was taking a break from those shops. I heard from my scheduler via email that she deactivated me because of that.

I'm pretty certain I'm "figure out-able...." I've thought of changing my name or something on this forum to be more anon. I guess I should go have a look at my profile and see about getting that done.
I just found out that for all these years I have been misspelling prerogative as perogative. So, thanks for using it and reminding us all that we can learn something new!

I asked the forum owner to change my handle some time ago, and I'm glad he did so. My first handle was too recognizable, so I often would not comment before that. I prefer the anonymity.
