Phone Mystery Shoppers

Hi Everyone. As you can see I'm new to this site. I have been mystery shopping for a few months now. I actually do phone mystery shops. I work for a company that shops schools, hospitals, catalog shopping, etc. I enjoy it very much. Is there anyone else here that does mystery phone shops?

I suspect that many if not most of us do at least one phone shop from time to time, though certainly the bulk of my business is on site shops.
I would be interested in hearing more about companies that offer phone shoppers. The closest town to me is 40 miles away and with gas prices it seems it wouldn't pay to do ssite shopping. maybe I'm wrong
The phone shops I see are generally mixed in with other shops. Generally they are $3-$5 when you can find them. As for 'wouldn't pay to do site shopping', obviously you go into town for personal errands from time to time. Most towns have gas stations, fast food places, some chain retailers, banks and similar businesses. These are the kinds of places that are shopped most frequently, so unless you are completely self sufficient 40 miles from town, my guess is that there are times and opportunities for you to do shops.
I was able to pick up a few phone and email shops regarding community colleges next Tuesday. Soooo I get to stay homeeeeeee for a few hours. Wheeeeeee!
I pick up a few phone shops when the price is right. Most of my video shops also include a recorded phone call with a short report, as well.

Poor customer service? Don't get mad; get video.
I do lots of shops that have a phone component....Mostly banks but this week an oil change appointment. Then the on site is afterwards. I generally try to do the phone calls afterwards if I can so I don't alert them I'm coming. Restaurant reservations are other phone component shops for me.
As with other shops, I'll do phoners if the price is right. When I first got involved, a $3 call looked okay to me, but not anymore! I'll occasionally do them for $5, but most of the ones I do pay $8-$10.
