Starting you own MS company

I know that this topic has been debated from both sides, but I was hoping that someone who has been down this road might chime in. We are considering a small 3-4 shopper operation marketed toward regional chains and was wondering if the available software programs were worth the investment. I do not know what the current platform pricing is, but I love the reporting options of some. Does anyone have opinions on the best reasonably priced software (with good reports) for a small company?

I think you are asking in the wrong place. I doubt seriously that your competitors would PM you the information and as shoppers we are not privy to what platform pricing is. But if you are only going 3-4 shoppers, why not just make your own reports and transmit by email? After all, a major advantage of the platforms would appear to be handling much larger amounts of traffic than your 3-4 shopper operation would need.

Once one of your shoppers gets his cover blown, you're down to three. Then two, then bye bye contract winking smiley

Before you start your own MS shopping company, first think to yourself, "What do I have to offer that other MS companies dont?" Then think, "What do other MS companies have to offer that I don't." If you form a bigger list thinking about the latter, you may want to think of a smarter investment winking smiley
