hotel shops

Hi, I am silver certified and have been shopping for 8 years. I was curious if anyone knew of the companies that do hotel shops?

Also, has anyone gotten gold certified with the DVD and do they feel it is worth it?

I got the CD and am trying to study for the Gold...it is about 4 hours of info., and cannot do it without being interrupted. Will let you know when I pass. I think it's worth it for my mind. Some companies perfer this, but, if you have the Silver, I'm not sure yet, how big a difference it makes. I want to see for myself. I am a believer in higher education, so, that's why I wanted it. The information on the CD is very valuable to every shopper, and I did get tips on becoming a smarter shopper. I do recommend it, but can't say how much better the jobs will be yet.

This should probably be on the other thread.

I think the value of being gold has a lot to do with the MSPs you work for. Some could care less about certification. I've recently been working for a company that:
1. Sends out job offers to gold shoppers first.
2. Allows gold shoppers more leeway in the reporting timeframe.
3. Allows gold shoppers to schedule more jobs than other shoppers.

I've more than recouped my $99 with this MSP alone. $300+ in the last 2 months.

Good to hear that Joan, I work for Intellishop and they sponser MSPA and getting the CD. 'so, since it is important to them, and I do many shops for them, I probably will get even better shops. Would be more fun going to the Gold seminars in person for the networking aspect. Hopefully, I'll get through it in a week or so...with the new month, I'm getting alot more shops than I've seen in the last week. have you done Hotel or Casino shops, Joan? This is what I hope the Gold will bring. I was just asked to sign up with Pinkerton Compliance, never heard of them before, they just got nice jobs in Calif. Going to do that....busy month, so far, so good.

Later....
Does anyone know the names of the companies that do hotel and/or casino shops?
I am located in Illinois. Thanks.

I "toured" a hotel here in Dallas on Monday that I'd love to shop. The basic room rents for 500.00 a night, but the "concept" rooms rent from 1500 to 2500 a night. I think I'll stay a couple of weeks, Thats more than my monhly house payment, For ONE NIGHT!!! but boy were those rooms something. Check out the pics.

PS We had lunch in the resauran and my burger was 20.00 and was no better than one from Chilli's or Fridays. [www.hotelzaza.com] click on UPOWN DALLAS

I'd take that job, lunch is good with no report...I'm going to Vegas Tuesday "on the house". Got a free 3 day trip from Hooters, meals and $200.00 in tokens for the sloats. I would rather stay at the Wynn, Venetin, Caesar's, and I could if I wanted to pay. LOL
