Yes. You mentioned the client, so no one will tell you the MSC.

I remember the old MSC that used to have Lowes did a Beta test recently.
But, I have not seen it on their list of shops to self-assign. I suppose that with that particular MSC, an Email shall not work as they do not answer. Maybe a call would be best.

Would there be any Merit in that?
I’m new to this. So we can’t say which company is doing the Lowe’s jobs? I edited my message and took out the name of the company.

Are the shops about the same with the new MSC as the old? I see them, but I have not tried them yet.

That is correct. You can have a thread about the MSC without naming the client, and you can have a thread about the client without naming the MSC, but you can't link the two together. Glad you picked up on that so fast!

Got that email today. Really hope the lowes shops stay with this company. Decent pay in my opinion..although I dont like the return portion..wondering if that is optional. Also hopefully no long narratives on the report..
I cant do these shops right now but will try them later in the month if they are still available.. they are right up my alley

Shopping Idaho and Oregon/Idaho border region.
I have done A LOT of them. They are time consuming because you have to go to two different departments plus make a purchase and then return 20 minutes later. Despite all the work I did with a very long narrative I receive 10s but a few times 7s. Editor must be having a bad day!!!. You have to record everything from the moment you enter the store (timing everything) and what was said, etc. The bright side is you get paid within two weeks.
They are different but really not very difficult. You have to buy something and return it. You also have to speak with someone in two different departments with a provided scenario.

As the program continues, more will be available. Some shoppers don't like the return portion, some aren't qualified for the military discount and there is a 60 day rotation for each location.
I miss when it used to be done through the other MSC. I’d get $50 a shop every month for each location. I knew where everything was.
I find the reports much quicker than for the old MSC. The old MSC required lengthy narratives, and since most of the time the employees just stood there and did not offer much information or try to make a sale, I would have to fill the narrative box with such: "The associate did not make any suggestions. The associate did not give me any information about the products. The associate just stood there and watched me look at the products. The associate told me to pick the appliance I liked the look of and did not tell me about any features."

It was very frustrating.

So far, I have found the employees to be more helpful and enthusiastic, and provide more information about products this time around. Maybe they are doing better training.
It still seems like not much $$ for the work, unless they're easier by at least 50% than the old ones... But not having done one, I can't say. Seems like you should only have to check one department instead of two.

I learn something new every day, but not everyday!
I've learned to never trust spell-check or my phone's auto-fill feature.
They are ok for me because I’m addicted to Lowe’s garden center clearance plants. After I make my purchase and have to wait 20 mins to return time flies at the Garden center. I end up spending a lot more that the job pay of $20 on $1-$5 clearance plants.
I consider any purchase and return shop as two shops. Unless the price and bonus reflect that I stay away from them.

Yeah, but what does this mean? Do you have to purchase both of these and then return them or just shop the departments where these items are found?

COMMENTS: Your ASSIGNED SCENARIO is FIRE PIT WITH PAVERS and SHOP VAC

I'd like to do one or two but that's the only description of the shop.

As stated above, If it is two department employee interactions as well as a purchase and return of any item of your choice to see if they accept the military discount, that's too much work. The the pay currently on the shops (four interactions should be the pay of four shops) should reflect this not be what it is.

In the past I've done shops where you see if they offer a store credit card, but I can't believe they would do it with these items.

You have 2 interactions with employees in two different departments and then you buy something small to evaluate the cashier, returned it to evaluate the customer service person. The biggest problem is not the interactions it's finding somebody to interact with. They have specific time that you have to wait before go to tbe center aisle looking for help amd the additional time before you can push the button to get somebody over to that department.
That really sounds like the old mystery shop. there were two interactions with required wait times in each department (even the pressing the buzzer part is the same), followed by a small purchase. All that seems to have been added is the return, which is often quick and easy. Is this really two shops? IMHO, yes. Is that different than the past, no.

Shopping Southeast Pennsylvania, Delaware above the canal, and South Jersey since 2008
Got a new shop request for Lowes and it doesn't describe anything but the two departments you have to shop.

I even got an e-mail back from the scheduler for the previous two departments that basically said that I had to shop two different departments and I should have have intuitively known that from the limited information provided in the email.
Here's the shop flow: You go in, you go to your first department. You loiter in the aisles 5 minutes to see if anyone offers to help you. If no one does you can go loiter in the outside aisles for 5 minutes. If no one offers to assist you, you are then allowed to push the red button. If no one comes to assist you, you are allowed to go find someone. If you can't find anyone to help you in that department you are then free to go to the second and repeat. Usually you will find someone somewhere between pushing the red button and hunting someone down. You then ask them about the assigned product and see if they ask you questions to allow you to get to the "need behind the need."
Then you go to the second department and start all over. Then you purchase something small like a paintbrush or bottle of glue and check out. Come back in 20 minutes to several hours and return. Then you get to go do a report.
It's not a hard shop but it's tedious and can be time consuming. I refuse to do any but my local Lowe's for base price.
The report is easier than it used to be, there are no longer any long narratives.
You have to do two scenarios which they pick for you. You have to buy something and wait at least 20 minutes and return it. They want names and some answers to questions about the cashier.
