Sonic

There are several Sonic Drive Inns in my area and they are frequently on the board till they go into bonus. Since they're so darned easy to do, I'll usually grab them at that point. I'll also grab one on an out of town gig to cover lunch and make a few extra bucks. That being said, I'm getting sooooo tired of their food! LOL I could stop, but like I said, they're so darned easy!

When you do their shops what do you put in their comment box. You can not write, I do not have any comments

I sometimes under-eat the day of a Sonic shop.

By the time the shop time comes around, I've "tricked" myself into craving it. Really, anything will start to sound good at that point.

If this sounds crazy, well...I've done it! Otherwise, I'm not sure I could eat Sonic so much.

You don't have to write a lot. Sometimes I would order a flavored drink and they put too much syrup in it. You can say such, and such met your expectations, as in appearance, taste, temperature wise, or it fell slightly short of your expectations, because....you just have to get creative with a few different adjectives until you reach the limit.

The money can be darned good. If I don't want the food, I take a bite for the report. The rest goes to my husband, who likes the burgers, footlong, and onion rings. I keep the limeade.
Unless there's really something to mention or explain I just put generic comments. The food was properly prepared and well presented, the fries were salted just right, the parking lot was clean. Anything to get by, since everything has been covered at that point.

The burger's buns get too WET and COMPACTED-- consistently with them. They need a different, more resilient bun. Tired of mushy, soggy buns.
I wish there were Sonics closer to me. The only way I take them is if I will be in the area for something else.
I wish the reimbursement was higher. I'm personally forced to order a hot dog to make it economical rather than my preferred cheeseburger.
I used to shop this particular place constantly. There was no one else in my area willing to take them, so I was always getting a higher shop fee to take them. I finally go tired of the same food.

Where I live, the reimbursement is usually $7.80. A Sonic Cheeseburger meal runs $7.03 after tax. Is it different where you live?
I do tons of Sonics. If I ate all that food I would have had a heart attack by now. I taste for the report and either take the rest home to my spouse and dogs or throw it away. I do them for the money not the food.
Since I always tip the server, I never come in under the reimbursement. (And no, I know the tip is not reimbursed.)

Reimbursement is $6.25 for the MSC that does the drive-thru shops. We might be thinking of different MSCs, sw. smiling smiley

I don't mind my normal chili cheese dogs ($6.23 here, while cheeseburgers are $7.12-ish). I just add onion and/or jalapeno (note: onions are free, while jalapenos cost you more). Their chili is always very thin, however. I don't ever get enough.

I really enjoy their tater tots. I hate their fries (so many locations have stale fries).

Reimbursement here is $7.80, I usually get a hot dog meal and it's under a bit. There's a Sonic near my work that I like to pick up because it makes figuring out where to go for lunch easy and I don't mind the food. Easy money.
WHAT THE HECK IS A CARE TOKEN??? Has anyone ever gotten one? What does it do? Do they even make them anymore? I get POed every time there's a long wait and I get to that question. I want one!!! Over all these years I should have a shoebox full of care tokens but never got even one.

Signed - Gypped at the drive in.

I actually just got one of these last Saturday! It's at the bottom of the receipt. Good for a free small shake. Here's a picture: [imgur.com]

There is only one Sonic in NYC and it is in Queens. It is a walk in not a drive up or drive thru. I wish they had more in Manhattan and the other boroughs.

I don't grab them as soon as they pop up, I usually wait till the fee goes up. Last week it was up to $6 and I let them sit. MSC called me and offered $8 for local and $15 for out of towners that are less than thirty minutes away, that I can easily pad with convenience stores and a gas station or two.

I only do them when bonused, too. If I can I like going between 2-5 when almost all drinks are Half Price. My father loves the Slushes so I go then and I can get a tad more and still stay under budget. I very rarely eat the food. I usually give it to some homeless person. I bring a bottle of water and give that to them, too. Makes all happy
A care token is sort of like a challenge coin. Except if you don't have it on you you have to pay for the drink. It is sort of like a wooden nickel or a paper pickle. I have had one in the grab handle of my door until my id10t stepson got it.
I have an question.

The guidelines say not to order anything that is not listed on the menu.

But our Sonic's here have the Bacon Club Toaster (And it is one of the approved items listed in the guidelines the last time I checked) but it it not listed on the menu. My question is how come we can't order anything that is not listed on the menu?

An few months ago the wife and I went out of town and we stopped at Sonic and they had the BCT listed on their menu.

I know with the combo it will be like $ 1 or $ 2 over the limit which is fine but some times I want to change things up a little smiling smiley
I can't answer the why part, but I can tell you if it is not on the menu, and you order it, they will invalidate your shop and not pay you. That happened to me for the exact same sandwich.
