Really? Professional attire for a $7.50 assignment?

Am I the only one who thinks that the MSC is crazy to only offer $7.50 for an assignment and require you to wear professional attire? I would have to change clothes just for that assignment or stick out like a sore thumb for the rest of my assignments that day! It wouldn't be worth the time and effort in my opinion. That assignment is way underpaid!

Depends on the region and your regular type of business. I usually do my higher end shops (Gucci, Prada, Dior, etc) on weekdays after work because I dress in business attire for my regular line of work. Similarly, if I'm doing a five guys shops, it's not unusual to be dressed in business area in my area. YMMV
Professional attire. What profession. Garbage collector? Nope. Professor? Sure. Anything requiring a neck tie or a dress?Never.
LOL! I have an upcoming assignment that wants a higher standard of professional garb than the usual clothing with no tees, rips, stains, tears, or other offensive conditions. i went to a thrift store and got a knock off of a knock off a Chanel. It cost two bucks and-- get this-- brought me into proximity with books that have been on my list for more than a year. I lovelovelove the books!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Actually, I go with sweats, LOL!!! Sort of high end, but still, sweats! And since it's below freezing, long johns!!!
Oops. I accidentally donated the knock off of a knock off (what. it was for a shop!) and substituted a wonderfully warm & snuggly long man's sweater over a white collar. This was perfect until I flipped my lid I mean the coffee cup had a loose lid which popped and drenched me in hot coffee. It only took a few minutes to scavange the clearance section at the nearest Wally World and come up with yet another sweater (and, fortuitously, skirt and jeans in the next smaller size which I needed anyway).

The question should be: Really? Why would you consider doing any mystery shopping assignment that paid only $7.50?
I do agree. I'm not doing it. I have learned to wait for the shops to increase. If they don't then I won't do them. I have turned down a lot of shops recently because the MSC won't pay what i want.
