Exceptions to Post Office daily shop limit?

Has anyone been successful in getting an exception to the 5 per day limit? I can build a nice route of rural locations that always sit on the board for a while but it isn't worth it to split them up.

I have no first hand experience that is directly on point but suspect this client is inflexible on this and most points.

It's hard to imagine getting too far beyond the daily limit without hitting the 30 minute spacing time restriction, or given the limited hours at some of them (especially rural ones), the prohibitions against first 30 minutes and last 30 minutes.
Somebody has, but I don't remember who. They mentioned it in a post maybe a year ago. Maybe they'll see your post and respond.
I have asked and been told no. I believe I have seen at least one other person say the same. That doesn't mean it hasn't happened.
Well dang. I am going to email and ask anyway but I was hoping there was a precedent. Thanks for the responses.
It can't hurt to ask; good luck! Personally, I wouldn't be able to do five of these in one day and still have them all straight in my mind, even with the 30-minute break in between. Three is about my limit. I envy those of you who can string so many together. I'm sure it would help if I input most of the info on my phone, but I don't have those apps loaded. Not sure my phone wouldn't explode; I need more memory....

I learn something new every day, but not everyday!
I've learned to never trust spell-check or my phone's auto-fill feature.
The first and last 30 minutes are no longer prohibited. They would prefer you don't visit during the first or last 30 minutes but it's no longer a strict rule.

I have tried a few time to getting that exception and was unsuccessful. Let us know what happens!!

Before they came out with the app I made a cheat sheet from the guidelines and report form. Time in and out, time in line and at counter, # of customers and clerks, did they ask this and offer that, etc. Leave the lot, pull into the first available place, and answer the questions. Nothing to remember. I do that for every shop.

Now that there's the app, I still use the cheat sheet. And frequently I use the thirty minute break to enter the shop and drive to the next one.

Yes, I had a spreadsheet with the abbreviated questions, in order, in the far left column, then 10 empty columns to fill in, one for each shop. I would highlight each column after submission so I wouldn't lose my place and accidentally fill in the wrong location's info. Then print out more sheets as needed. It is still useful, especially in remote locations where the phone option is nil. I have the same type of spreadsheet made for all of the assignment types that I do often.
I had a list of the questions in my phone notes app, so I could fill in some of the info in between shops, but I still worried about missing something and not being able to remember at which PO something did or didn't happen. My brain isn't what it once was.

I learn something new every day, but not everyday!
I've learned to never trust spell-check or my phone's auto-fill feature.
Why not just print out the survey? That way you can answer each question and not miss any. It's much easier than using a phone. I often just go to McDonald's and fill out the report while enjoying a soda or snack.
Sometimes I do that, too. But leave it to me to be printing out a survey and have my printer ink run out! I've had that happen so many times, I figured it would be easier to input notes to my phone.

Dandydew, is there a reason you don't use the Mobi Audit app to do your reports, or are you like Birdy without enough memory on your phone for apps? Birdy it might be time for a new phone. Or, if thats not an option, you might consider transferring photos and other data to your computer, the cloud, or some other backup device. Or delete some less important apps to make room for the Mobi Audit app. It's such a huge timesaver!
Moby Audit. can be very frustrating. If I’ve already taken a photo, and I want to upload it, it won’t let me. I can only upload photos that I take at the moment it is requested. It shows an option to choose a photo from the gallery, but it will not allow me to do so.
I schedule part of this project. The client will not allow more than 5 shops in the same day to be performed at USPS locations. You may, however, do as many of the CPU and APS shops as you wish, as they are not at the actual USPS locations, but are being performed for the client.

The 5 per day rule is a bummer, but I think they make it pretty clear in the guidelines that all of your shops for the day will be rejected if you do more than that. These are some of my favorite shops, and I would definitely do routes of 10+/day if I could! I usually enter them directly on the website from my phone right after the shop, but if I can't for some reason, I just make brief notes. They're so simple and quick! Maybe some of the confusion with exceptions comes from what Amy said above, that you can do more of the CPU shops.

Happily shopping the Pacific Northwest. Shopping since 2013 smiling smiley
That sounds like a phone problem to me. I don't have that issue. I can choose to take a photo or upload from my photo gallery. I have a Samsung Galaxy 9+.

Check with someone who knows how to access the phone and app settings and permissions. I have solved problems like this just by googling and messing around with the inner workings of the phone but can't really describe how. Something is just clashing and after it's found and changed, Mobi will work.

Would someone be so kind to tell me which company does post office shops? Thank you.

No, no one will tell you the MSC and the client in the same thread. It's a violation of the forum rules to which we've all agreed. And it would probably violate the ICA with the MSC too.

It's one or the other. Since many have mentioned the client already, the MSC cannot be named in this thread.

Sign up for more companies and you will likely find it.

@scheduleramy Thanks for responding! I understand the client limitation, but sure is a bummer. smiling smiley
