Did the firestone audit.....

and actually didn't mind it that much. I did two of them today and I thought they were kinda easy. Yeah, the uploading, renaming/linking the pics was a little annoying and time consuming, but I didn't think it was that bad.

I also did an audit for a medical company to be sure their digital screen in the waiting room was functional and that one was sooo easy that I'd do it every single time I see it. 10 minutes at the location (mostly cause the lady in front of me was miss chatterbox...could've done it in 3 minutes if she wasn't there) and 10 minutes at home to scan/upload "receipt" and image.

I did the FS audit, last week. How did you find the teammate Rr? I felt it was very unfemale friendly. I said that in my report. As a matter of fact I said it was not male friendly either.

If my significant other had to use that toilet during the day while at work. I would have him going to the clinic evry couple of months.

Just b/c an enviroment is condusive to male employees does not mean there toilet facilites should look or smell like or a Port-A-potty.

I sent them close up on the toilet. I hope they cringed when they saw it.
Yeah, the employee restrooms were a little nasty. I did two of them and the first one was better than the second. The second one the urinal was clogged (how? I dunno, I thought only pee went down those?). They didn't stink though and were as clean as I would expect a restroom to be when the guys going in are covered in grease.
What if you were one of the Suited guys coming in to view Ur shop, and the Customer's Rr was "Out of service". They might take one look at the teammate toilet and say,"I'll wait till I get home."

It wasn't all grease.

I did tell them the water was sparkling clean. The condition of the bowl itself was alot to be desired.

I bet the sales members don't used the team members RR. sad smiley
I have one of these shops directly across the street from my work. It's a fairly new facility, less than 18 months old. I have avioded it for quite & while. If they would ever bonus it, I would take it...maybe.
Have done the FS Audits for the past four years until they changed MSC's. Did manage to get it this past quarter because I am also signed up with the company that took them over. Made some good friends there over the years. Good people to work with. Great staff!!

Danabnnc, I had been doing the audits for the previous company for the past 3 years. Is the new company paying more money or less money? BTW, I hear the questions on the form have been drastically reduced. I really miss the travel and the guys at the stores.
great... I have one today..yucky bathrooms.. ewww. I'm looking forward to it now smiling smiley

The pay is not great, but I have never done one before, and its 10 min from my house, so I figured I'd give it a try. I like being the female auditor in a room full of guys. It does wonders for my self esteem.. lol. and of course you receive excellent customer service.

I was doing a large number of these audits in six states with the old contractor. Then,I was barely making enough money after covering travel expenses. Now,the new contractor is probably paying even less money if they're not using regional traveling people anymore. While I was working with the old contractor, it was my understanding that the client wanted as few auditors as possible doing the audits to maintain consistency in the reports. I wonder how their new program is working out if they're using hundreds of people each auditing just a few stores.

Looks as if it's the latter. There are over a dozen Firestone stores in my local area, plus another dozen of their unbranded affiliates (gold/black, yellow/purple for hints). There were two affiliate stores posted last month, and two Firestones this month. These were a blast for me. Other than the fact that it gives me a real reason to break out my camera equipment, I used to work for Firestone (it's been 5+ years, I'm still eligible for the shop) and remember probably half of the guys I run into.

I did one of these last year which took forever to assign each pix(around 25) to the question etc. I was also in the location for well over 30 minutes. Anyway I think I made about $5 an hour doing that assignment.
I guess I've got a short memory because I was lured in by the promise of "Easy photo audit" the other day and signed up. But after reading the requirement of two photos of 23 areas plus photos of any other area s that didn't meet specs plus taking a tape measure along to measure the distance between this and that plus then going home and renaming and and assigning the photos to a specific question. No thanks I passed.
I haven't bothered doing this one because I have been stung by other photo audits with this company that between on site time and then renaming photos and identifying which photo goes with with question and uploading the whole shebang was way too much time for the money and just not a fun or pleasant thing to be doing.
I applied with Market Force in 2007 or 2008 just for the heck of it. I was declined. Only after convincing them that I have a tendency to become very tenacious when I want a straight answer, did they finally disclose that I was declined because I had too much experience. (I'm mostly retired now, but had been working for 11 years as a full-time, professional mystery shopper/auditor. I had been traveling in 26 states and had submitted many thousands of reports primarily with only one MS contractor. I had never had a report rejected and had excellent references) In that last conversation, they told me they prefer people with less experience because such people naturally have a profile of a more ordinary customer. I thought it was a bunch of silly BS. Since I didn't actually need or want any more work, I just laughed it off. As of late, I've been thinking about re-applying with Market Force just because I'm curious if they're anymore sane and rational in utilizing well-experienced shoppers/auditors. My only reason to re-apply with Market Force would be to do audits at this subject client's tire and auto care facilities as I did with the contractor who had the contract in the past years. Since I'm not currently a Market Force shopper/auditor, I don't have access to their available job listings and I can't see what they're paying. Would someone please tell me what kind of fees Market Force is paying for these audits? I don't care to waste my time applying with them again if they're paying less money than I was being paid with the previous contractor. Maybe if they're paying decently, I might apply again but I'd have to convince them first that I can't even spell mistree shoppur/audatur.

Hi Sunnyside. Because a client has been named in this thread it is inappropriate to name a company because of ICAs, though obviously if you are not signed up with the company you mention you have no obligation to them. I will neither confirm nor deny that this client is handled by the company you mention but will make you aware that photo audits I see generally range from about $7-$14. Shops do sometimes get bonused, but with the number of shoppers out there these days they rarely get desperate enough to do that.

Huh? Is that a question or a statement? The new contractor only started on January 1st. Are you saying that they've been fired and replaced with a new contractor already?

I have done these audit for years with the old company. When they switched companies, I was lucky to do the audit for the new company. I did the audit on February 8th. When I called the manager to schedule to have my oil changed, he told me that they switched companies again and they were audited the first part of March. That is all I know and was wondering if anyone knew who the new company was??
