Deodorant Buy & Try

I picked one of these up on an app shop. I had 16 hours to buy the deodorant from a blue big box store, try it out and fill out the report. This shop was perfect timing because I needed to reup on some health and beauty stock.

My issue: the deodorant cost $12.69.

At $12.69, that deodorant had better keep you dry for a month and make you smell like roses. Geez...

Hard work builds character and homework is good for your soul.
There is a good private Facebook group for that app. Some excellent tips and discussions there. Anyone can join.
MFJ, ironically, the scent I got was roses!

I don't do coupon shops unless I'm shopping Aldi's.

The deodorant was fully reimbursed. I will do more shops if allowed.

I saw that..and 3 other shops in the same store exactly 3 minutes after I got on the bus going the opposite direction lol. If it's still there after work tomorrow, I'm going to go for it.

Shopping the South Jersey Shore
It looks like it's one and done. None of the locations are on my available shops.

$3, full reimbursement, and I cashed out today.

Good to know. It wasn't clear when I looked at the job.
Regardless, the stores were in areas that I don't frequent.
I saw those on the app today. But the deodorant has the aluminum ingredient in it, and I stay away from that. But I have used the Buy & Try on that app on 3 other occasions, and they pay very quickly, plus the full reimbursement. Those are very legit.
I did 4 of these shops for the same location and all body care. For the deodorant you are complaining about there is a deal on ibotta as well for $2 more dollars back.

I was very happy to get all my money back today and its already going back into my checking account.
I did it yesterday, the deodorant, two body washes, and coffee. I did a grocery shop at the same time so basically got double-reimbursed for part of the buy and trys, made a little cash on the shops, and another $7.50 from Ibotta. Of course, after I got home, a buy and try for a hair product I use popped up. Since I will be near WallyWorld today anyway I will probably pop in and grab it too. It was totally worth it for me.
Seriously: $12.69 for 1 bottle of deodorant. I'm very happy that I was able to try it because I will never buy it on my own!

Hey dailydog! No complaints about the deodorant, just not something I use anymore. I used to use the deodorants with aluminum, but after my mastectomy in 2014, I just have chosen not to use it. But for those that do, I agree, it's a great opportunity! Have a great day!
They had 2. There was another brand that didn't have aluminum in it - I think it's fairly new. Must be another shopper grabbed that one. I was fortunate enough to get it. smiling smiley

And I just looked, and there was an aluminum-free option to buy. The lighter color packaging one is the aluminum free option of the essential oil deodorant. When I first looked at the picture in the app, I only saw the dark-colored one. Had I scrolled further, I would have seen the aluminum free option, which I would have preferred.

Yeah, Kimmie, and they do pay quickly. I've done these for 2 different laundry items and some hummus.
I did this one. Mine with tax was 12.93. There was also another deodorant, a shower gel, and a dry shampoo buy and try available which I got.

This bottle of deodorant better last for a year.

I have the same opinion about the app. My favorite was getting a profit dozen of eggs that costed $5 a dozen. I would NEVER buy that without a buy and try.

my second favorite was a food promotion where they paid me $20 in food (normal food) for the Superbowl to make a receipt that took up a fraction of the items. I had free pantry items for weeks after.
I didn't see that shop; maybe it wasn't in my area.

Today, I did the body wash. That was decent.

May I ask what the Buy & Try on app is called? I think I may want to give it a try.

Kirstin
I tried the shower gel. It's made by P & G but they're really trying for the "Sustainability Sourced From New Zealand, all-natural" angle (aka pricier than regular shower gel). The shower gel was ok, nothing out of the ordinary. Still glad I was able to try it for free.
I didn't know it was a P& G product. I didn't read the label that closely. I wondered why the price was so inexpensive for a natural/sustainable product.

The shower gel is also cruelty free certified by PETA, which is nice. I like to see large multinational companies going cruelty free. It may only be on some of their lines, but every baby step is a step forward.
I got a kick out of the instructions to rip the label and take a picture of it. You probably couldn't read the label even if you tried...lol
