Licensing for field inspectors/field agents?

PREFACE: I am new to this topic and doing as much research as I can in the background.

I've been looking around the forum and doing internet searches to find this out. Does a person need a license to be a field inspector/agent if you're taking photos? From what I gather, reading some job assignments, it seems that an inspector/agent would take pictures, write and submit reports, but not be providing advice or anything about the property being inspected. More of verifying the damage or what have you?

Is this a reasonable reflection of certain assignments from such companies? And, would a person need to be licensed to do this?

In general, the answer is no, but with some qualifications:
1) Anyone doing mystery shops in Nevada must be an employee of a licensed private investigator
2) Many mystery shopping companies (MSCs) require some type of certification, usually in the form of reading instructions ad then passing an online test. I would not consider this a license.
3) For some shops, The Source requires passing a background check. Again, not a license.

That is GCS.Field Research. I occasionally do safety or other audits for companies, but if I am busy, I prefer not to. I also do merchandising and price checks, though I have been doing more corner store and quick paint shops or email and phone lately.

Each MSC has tests that you have to take at one time or another Though some I swear are are you breathing and can you type a sentence coherently. Others ask you to take a test and that goes over the type of assignment step by step. This is when I filed for UI Benefits.
