Happy Thoughts - Fun shop memories.
My most exciting shop was driving that Porsche Cayenne. I felt really fancy at the Saks 5th Avenue makeup counter the first couple of times as well.

Sweet little shop...and up to my mind popped Getrude Hawk Chocolates, Lindt Chocolates..oh I how I love English Toffee and anything made with good chocolate.
Also remember Sephora, Bob's (clothing store..probably only in or around NJ), The Chart House..oh that was nice...right on Hudson with view of Manhattan skyline at sunset, undercover employee integrity at large department stores with cash drop and security watching from somewhere in the ceiling???..I felt like the Pink Panther theme should have been playing in background, Boston Market...ate so many chicken dinners that I won't go back on my own...ever, Mickie D's with terrific bonuses, Sunoco with HUGE bonuses from Sam the man, I could go on and on, but need to run....so much to do with no where to go..no I have to mail an eBay.
I hope down the road we're not listing shops from the past year that are no longer going to happen..."Oh, I remember when we used to shop the USPS"..ha ha ha

See's chocolates when I lived out west. Z Gallerie was also a fun one. Doing like 8 locations of the same large motorcycle dealership at $40 to $50 a pop back with Monterey. Texas de Brazil great meal. Freddy's Frozen Custard and Burgers. Traveling to do Rite Aid shops throughout NY, PA, OH, WV, NH, VT. The Westin in Pittsburgh. I hope to get some resemblance of it back someday.
Shopping Western NY, Northeast and Central PA, and parts of Ohio and West Virginia. Have car will travel anywhere if the monies right.
Many delicious tex-mex meals with my boys, and that great peanuts on the floor steak chain. Never did see line dancers lol. I wonder if my favorite bankers miss me.
Doing the same permanently closed shop for full pay each month for over one year. What could be better than being paid without having to shop?

Purchasing jewelry from Uno de 50. I was reimbursed $100 for a pair of earrings. Did that twice.
Mmmmm, See's Chocolates! Butterscotch Squares!! My favorite shop, though, was back when many companies were very lax about sending naive shoppers into Las Vegas to do shops. My spouse and I got three days at a halfway decent hotel, $50 in gaming chips, $100 in meal vouchers and tickets to a nice show. All we had to do was go to a time share event at a fancy high-rise. It only lasted about an hour or so. With our $50 gaming voucher, we won almost $300. Nice little visit to Vegas!
I took my 2-year-old granddaughter to the zoo. She saw the animals, rode the train, fed lettuce to the giraffes, and had a great time. I got reimbursed for the ticket and for the stuffed animal I bought in the gift shop.

Doing a multistate Porsche service route, driving through downtown Manhattan and circling Central Park in a loaner 911, a week later driving the Las Vegas Strip in a 911 Carerra. Flying my husband out to meet me in San Francisco, New Orleans, Miami and wining and dining him in five-star hotels. Doing the Vail Food and Wine Festival as a shop and winning a door prize: an amazing set of skis, boots and bindings.
Great stories!!! That Rolex shop - I was so nervous, studied for days, and was so impressed with all those fine watches. And speaking of sweets, those Loli and Pops candy shops with free samples. Toffee please! Cadbury Crunchie bars and lots of goodies to take home.
My favorite memory- a 2 night resort shop on the other coast of my state, an easy 3 hour drive away. On the way there, a lunch shop at the Capital Grille. The resort had a suite with a king bed, 5th floor, overlooking the Gulf of Mexico. We saw 2 perfect sunsets and the waves lulled us to sleep at night. 3 required (of course reimbursed) interactions- a gourmet dinner in the restaurant, drinks at the lobby bar, and drinks at the pool bar (hello, strawberry pina colada!). After checkout, we did a to go shop at Cheesecake Factory and 5 Guys before heading home. It would take a lot to top that route!
Already had hockey tickets and then pick up a shop where I get them reimbursed to shop at a time share booth at the arena.
Also had a resturaunt downtown and then get a parking shop within walking distance.

Massages and a great shop at a cute tourist store DT. $40 reimbursement so I got a Christmas present and some jars of jam! A $200 yeti cooler and a glass of wine in the instore bar. Ahh I miss it!!

Getting reprimanded by a flamboyant bartender for “babysitting” my drink, which was straight vodka and a splash of soda in a pint glass.
Winning $1200 at blackjack in a matter of 6-8 minutes and getting to keep it.

Getting my whole house cleaned with the report very reasonable. Last year I performed a Medicare shop at small town fair where tickets and parking were reimbursed along with a hefty fee. Hope that one comes back next year!
I guess based on how I was raised, by depression era geandparents, that experiencing some of the extravagances has been fun. My favorite was an overnight in a hotel with dinner, bar, breakfast, and Starbucks. We were the only ones at the restaurant, it was that empty. The food budget allowed us to order absolutely anything we wanted. The food wasn't expensive, but it was wild just ordering whatever I wanted. I won't even get coffee somewhere because I feel it's a waste. I was taught to save money. The hotel and food came out to around $450 total, so not crazy expensive, but I would never spend recklessly like that. Before mystery shopping, maybe we would go to Cracker Barrel once every few weeks. Growing up, we went out to eat maybe two times per year, would get pizza every once in a while, and my grandparents would get fast food once in a while (I have never been fond of fast food so I stayed home).
Among others, I remember two minutes of easy-peasy with optional purchase.

Being a plus one on my MS buddy's shops, bar and griill dining, bowling etc., and us having so much fun talking, and trying not to giggle too much.
I just had a reminder come up on FB. Ten years ago today I was on a shop at a destination spa outside of Tucson, in a family villa, with no requirement to report on the included food, beverages or spa treatments! Might have been the best shop of my life....definitely the most relaxing.

Is this where I am thinking it was (that by the way I was not there!!) if so, feels like it was more than 10 years ago. If not - WHY WAS I NOT THERE???
My best shop memory is and always will be Steve and my epic trip to India, Sri Lanka, and the Maldives (first time there!!)

My sister came along on that one...since the villa had a separate guest house!
And yes; the first trip to Maldives was indeed epic, but not exactly relaxing. I was actually thinking about that the other day, for obvious reasons, because we were traveling to a lot of places that didn't have TP in public restrooms, and we were both suffering from "Delhi belly". I had that one roll in my backpack...and there was some TP rationing going on, since I had to take command of the limited TP supply.
Also, memories of driving some beautiful Caddies and Beamers.

Chanel cosmetics where I got an 80.00 reimbursement for a bottle of their fabulous perfume. Many restaurants I loved, My Beverly Hills stores for NSS, Saks, Cartier, Hermes
on Rodeo Dr., made good money and enjoyed doing three shops within a few blocks, really miss that company. Mandalay Bay ice bar and restaurant in Vegas, and so many more.
I even miss the Habit and all the great burger places.
